Well, Chorley's excellent record at Fy£do continuesceith a 2-1 win today to end their recent unbeaten league run. All to play for now at Victory Park on New Years Day, another 3vpoints then will set us up nicely.

We drew 1-1 at Curzon Ashton. We were the better team in the first half, went in at half time deservedly 1-0 up. Second half we barely got out of our own half, and they deservedly equalised. Fair result overall.

Controversial draw at Leamington. We took the lead with a mazy run from Gyasi who gave McClure a tap in. However Leamington's equaliser was initially ruled out via the linesman, but ref overruled and gave it. We had a load of chances to win it, spurned a few but Hawkins in goal was the game's MOM. Need to win that one on NYD

First time I have been able to go in ages with second kid coming. Was asking around why it’s all gone wrong and just seems to be we compete but lack anything clinical or dangerous.

Think personally overall curzon deserved to win that one, Curzon were not very fluent first half, but had gone two up front with height and lack of pace and seemed unable to know how to play, even so we missed two absolute sitters, a header at back post about 10 minutes in and a shot right on half time, both were very easy goal scoring opportunities we flogged.

Southport much more dangerous looking around the box but had fewer good opportunities from it.

Second half felt you started strong and expecting a second, but then we ditched the big, but extremely slow Hobson for our best player peers and game turned.

Then followed 20 minutes of absolute dominance and a deserved equaliser, but curzon didn’t capitalise on this and push for a second and game seemed to settle until the last 5 minutes and the 5 minutes injury time when both teams frantically went for it and could have had 3 more goals each.

Draw as said probably fair, but we should have won it but missed two sitters

I genuinely struggled to understand why Peers didn't start, he's caused us problems every time I've seen him play against us.

I look at Curzon and part of me wonders how they keep a side of so many experienced and decent players on the gates they get, and this without a known sugar daddy. I can only assume they're Manchester based players who want to play at this level and don't fancy travelling around the North West or across the Pennines to go training wice a week.

Never know myself although I found it a shame looking at that Boxing Day crowd, ashton I think has about 50,000 residents so they should for bigger games and days easily get 1,000 fans but it’s such a massive glory hunting area most will go to pub and watch premiership team and it only costs £8 to go in.

I think your right either it’s someone pumping money in (not sure why they would as this club has zero growth sadly it cannot attract more than 300 fans) or it is players who make their money in manchester jobs and happy to find a local side to play at.

Do they have facilities which they own and rent out, eg offices, 3g training pitch etc?

I think the 3-4 3G pitches next to ground are theirs and they make more money from them than anything made on match days.

But on flip side I think they cost £100-300,000 to relay every few years and had to save up for that when get good cup runs.

For large portions of that game we were all over Leamington and should have been out of sight. Gyasi and Obadeyi are magical to watch at times but my God they don't half over do the stepovers and showboating and ultimately what should have been a routine win turned into a load of missed chances and being hit with a relatively late equaliser.

In truth, their heads dropped the minute that goal went in and Leamington could have won it.

Attendance given as a laughable 758. There is no way on earth that was the figure, easily over a thousand. Petherham has announced he's selling the club, but he's keeping the stadium and the land for someone to rent the ground off him and McGurk. Sounds like a great deal if you're mental. He had every fan with him when he got us home, something a lot of fans never thought would happen after 13 years. But he's fucked it now.

Well, the game at Victory Park was awful, both Fylde and Chorley looked poor, difference made when Fylde sent on Houghton and 2 other subs with 20 minutes or do to go, Fylde then looked like they would win and a late goal as de dive. This game shows exactly wh Chorley will struggle to reach the play offs, no strength in depth in a very thin squad.

Four points dropped for us this week against Telford really, only got ourselves to blame as well not learning from the first game on Boxing Day. Just not quite on it.

Late equaliser yesterday from Lynch in to the 7 minutes of added time and after they had two sent off. They looked gutted but I didn't have much sympathy, if you take the game that far in to the gutter then don't be shocked to find yourself ending up in the brown stuff.

Telford will improve with these resolute defensive showings under Wilkin but the damage may well have been already done for them. For us it's a week to forget, we had bad prep for it with half the squad ill and stuck in bed last week.

Just seen Craig Elliott has been appointed manager of Buxton. Was the consensus that he did a decent job at Boston? I know he did well at Shaw Lane but they were heavily bankrolled.

Misogynistic abuse of female Lino. Ran line in front of Darlo fans first half, and tannoy announcement for abuse to stop, which in fairness I believe it did. Handful of neanderthals as usual whenever we get a big away support. Think a few were ejected. Second Half, she was moved over to Scarborough side. Seems they believed she made a mistake for our 3rd goal, and she got it again so ref took teams off. Embarrassing for both clubs.

Darlington win 6 away league games in a row for the 1st time since the 2014/15 campaign.

Alun Armstrong's side are 20 points better off than at this point last season.

820 Darlo at Scarborough seeing a thumping 5-2 win.

At least we put the record straight mate from Boxing Day. Scarborough are absolutely shite!

We could have had at least 7 on the day.

Fantastic all round performance from the lads, absolutely on fire! :brill:

Wow, totally unexpected result for Chorley at Darlo, would have been delighted with a point before the game. Wasnt there but listened on Darlo radio, thanks for an excellent commentary guys. Seems we were clearly the better side after the first 20 minutes and apart from controversy about a potential red for our keeper were worthy winners on the day. If only we could get consistency we would be a force to be reckoned with.

Better team won on the day, you wanted it a lot more. We just sat back and let you tickle our bellies.

Would have been a totally different game had the ref not bottled sending off Urwin for handling outside the box and denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.

But we go again, onto a long trip to Southend next weekend.

Couldn’t go yesterday but I’d say that
May have been one of the most important second halves Curzon have had at this level.

Think losing at home to a side down there while in poor form and unable to score was rife for watching us drop into the bottom four.

The win gives hope, takes
Pressure off the next game where maybe they can go and play with less pressure

It was a fully deserved win at the end of the day, most likely could have been more than 3 goals. In the second half we probably should have just stayed in the dressing room.

On the other hand it was all about the referee that was the whole talking point of the game. I don't believe for one minute this guy is a qualified referee? Wasn't just about the one debate he made costly errors.

And in fairness how many times in this thread we've had numerous discussions about appalling referees that have absolutely killed the match in which we've paid good money to watch our beloved club.

Having watched the highlights I can definitely understand why Darlo fans were aggrieved, Urwin definitely handles outside area, i suppose the only vindication i can give is the Ref thought that a Chorly defender was covering hence not last man, but I think I would have been annoyed had we been on the receiving end of the decision. Best of luck guys for the rest of the season.

Just hope we can carry on now at Buxton tomorrow night.

Refs at this level are the worst I've ever known, we had an absolute prat at Brackley on Saturday as well. Thankfully he didn't actually cost us anything points wise as Adam Rooney blazed the last minute penalty over the bar, so justice done there. Lost Weeks for a game though as he got sent off for two accounts of dissent over it before and after it was taken. He booked loads of others at the same time and then sent somebody else off from the dugout after the final whistle as well but nobody actually seems to know who it was supposed to be, don't think he even knows.

He's now deleted his twitter account as some of our fans found it.

Doesn't matter about defender though does it? Even if was one, which there wasn't, he still denied a Goal Scoring opportunity, so shouldn't have been a consideration once he gave free kick. After that, we sulked, and you walked it. We were garbage at the back though - even Sampson scored.
