Refs at this level are the worst I've ever known, we had an absolute prat at Brackley on Saturday as well. Thankfully he didn't actually cost us anything points wise as Adam Rooney blazed the last minute penalty over the bar, so justice done there. Lost Weeks for a game though as he got sent off for two accounts of dissent over it before and after it was taken. He booked loads of others at the same time and then sent somebody else off from the dugout after the final whistle as well but nobody actually seems to know who it was supposed to be, don't think he even knows.

He's now deleted his twitter account as some of our fans found it.
The second sending off was George Glendon who will probably be the only person sent off in a season that he has taken no part.

There absolutely needs to be some accountability for refs like this. We also had a few at the start of the season

Seems we got our share of the Ref problems last night as apparently we got a shocker as Buxton equalised the 7th minute of the 5 added on. What goes round comes around I suppose.

Could be a right kicker the end of that Chester game but on paper an excellent point and every point counts in a relegation scrap.

But 2-0 up, only 12 minutes left and from all accounts at that time much better team and in control it’s frustrating to flog the 3 points, especially when you could say all season the issue has been a lack of goals and not at all an issue of flogging leads, that has been the strength this season bigger issue has been somehow finding a lead to hold!

Positive wise it’s 4 goals in last couple of games which is much better than has been all season maybe the new attack players which came in have helped turn that aspect around.

Absolutely dreadful game against Afreton, we were dragged down to their level, missed a number of early chances and the game became s goalless bore draw. Time our Manager made earlier substitutions and made more effort to win games rather than not lose them.
Would hate to think I had to watch Alfreton every week though!

Concerned at seeing our starting line-up before the Hereford game. McClure pulled up and was subbed at Boston last week and is apparently crocked again for a while so we had no forward on the pitch. McClure is always going to get goals but his injury history is nuts, seems to be a rumour he's on the off to Chippenham.

Tommy O'Sullivan also not even on the bench. No idea there, we still have this ongoing farce with Dawson too. He's only played 4 games all season.

Anyway, as soon as it did kick off we really took the game to them and Tiensia and McHale in particular constantly got in behind them and caused all sorts of problems. Hereford offered nothing at all really, despite having a fair share of possession in the second half. Not even sure whether they had a shot on goal to be honest.

Both your goals were scored by ex-Chester players Tom Peers (who has easily scored more goals against us than he did for us) and Craig Mahon (our record appearance holder).

Good luck to the lad on a full recovery.

Only just come back from a previous head injury too it seems.

Appears to have stabilised, and last update was more positive. Hoping he's through the worst.

As predicted, McClure goes to Chippenham. Rumour mill is this was the owners selling him and was not Steven King's choice....

They've been consistent all season, what springs to my mind is the word 'SHITE'

Darlington's game at Banbury United, another 400 mile round trip, got called off with 30 minutes notice.

This match really should have been postponed a lot earlier. Awful for the fans that did go down.

What a fuckin tin pot club

Our game went ahead, not really quite sure how as could barely see a thing with the fog. We were quickly two goals up through McHale and then Blyth were reduced to ten from a foul that looked a yellow at best. They need to appeal that one. Instead of pushing on we obviously attempted to go for the Opta world record of pointless passes and sure enough a cock up at the back let Blyth back in.

Second half we get a pen, not sure if it was. McHale for his hat trick fluffs it with a poor shot. From that moment on the game descended into farce as the fog got worse and decisions for both sides became poorer. We had the ball in the net again but was chalked off for offside, nowhere near it. Blyth then got a penalty, which even their manager has disputed. Hall saved but it was followed up and put in. Ben Morgan was then sent off, couldn't tell you what for. Steven King did an interview the day before and it's clear he's royally pissed off with Petherham. Not sure how long he'll hang around for. A recurring theme here.

Play off chances gone with that one I'd say

Mark Beck joins Solihull Moors from Darlington after a bid triggered the release clause in his contract.

He was the top scorer in the National League North with 15 goals.

It's squeeky bum time the vultures are circling:sur:

We've still got the best player in the league, Jack Lambert.

Beck was an absolute monster for us but we're not a 1 man team. We've won matches without him when he was injured.

Fylde 1-1 Chester

Proper grudge match, neither of us can stand each other, especially after how they behaved a few months ago in the reverse fixture.

Second half was delayed because the ref wasn't happy our fans were in the walkways too close to the goal and then the game was stopped for 20 minutes after things got heated after he failed to award us a pen, resulting in some minor scuffling. They debated abandoning it but eventually carried on. In all truth they just couldn't handle the number of away fans in that small terrace and employed some doormen as stewards who were rubbish and should be nowhere near stewarding a football match.

Probably a fair result but I thought we looked better than them on the day.

We were smashed by Brackley today. Another load of strangers in the team. Rumour is Jack James is gone next week, another Petherham sale with King having no say. I'd be surprised if he's still here in March. Meanwhile we have the club's self styled CEO being a total helmet on the club's social media accounts. We're being destroyed from the inside

Huge win for curzon yesterday, felt that was a must win, failure to beat farsley at home I think would have seen confidence due off, instead they hit a big confidence boosting win.

Just a shame the follow up game is away at Fylde, suppose nothing to lose from it

Our away record (8-2-3) is better than yours (8-3-4), as we average 2 points per away match and you average 1.8 points per away match.

Fylde's away record (7-2-3) is also better than yours, at 1.92 points per away match.

Okay sorry, most points currently away from home as we've played a few more. The point was more how bad at home we are

Yeah I know, I was just being pedantic out of boredom.

But still, 2nd best away record in the league because nothing to do with Fylde counts.

I'm hoping Russ Penn is just being a genius. We slip into the playoffs in 7th and we have to play all our games away from home

It was in the New Year's game agaisnt Hereford. He went down just before half time I think after a tackle. He came back out in the second half but he pulled up again about a minute later. Up to 3 months he'll be missing. Gutting as he was clearly a very good player
