Absolute ridiculous decision by Peterborough Sports to change our game to Kettering with 5 days notice.

Fans like myself & 5 of my mates have non-refundable train tickets booked, not arriving till 11.30 & if we wanted to go to Kettering - It's an added expense of £55/£60. Absolutely furious.

No thought to given to the fans making the long trip down. Joke of a club.

It also isn’t a fair advantage for the play off battle although you can argue now that Darlo have it out of their hands anyway but on paper you suddenly have a side battling getting a much different scenario than every other side got.

Surprised they are not being demoted they spent money easy enough on team to get here.

We finished our away fixtures at Kettering with a total of 48 points. Last season under Bern and Jonno, and later Steve Watson we ended the season (all matches) with 47 points. Some turnaround from Calum McIntyre.

So The national league decide to stream odd conf north games so why isn’t Curzon vs Fylde being done so tonight it has so many massive repercussions for the Division.

Saturday buggered up my hope for a top 7 big time. My hope was win Saturday to get into top 7, take defeat tonoght but then hope Fylde got a large early lead on Saturday meaning game is worthless for Kings Lynn and Curzon then win down there.

Alas the draw means we need to grab 4 points at least playing the two best sides and really have to win tonight to ease pressure for Saturday.

Fylde have……..filled a whole coach!! For this one hour journey away day today so ground filling up.

Well our chances of the play offs lasted all of 3 minutes until we were 2-0 down.

Own fault really flogging it in games we could win and leaving it to hardest two games

Coach has now been paid for by Darlo to pick fans up from Peterborough station to take them to Kettering on Saturday.

I hope they send the invoice to Peterborough Sports.

Think curzon are out of it really,
Flogged our chance.

Can see a win if Fylde go a few goals up early and Kings Lynn give up but too many hurdles to climb now, they flogged the chance.

As one of the smaller clubs, it's been a great effort by Curzon Ashton this season - indeed, it has been for several seasons now.

As you mentioned Dave in an earlier post, I too thought it was an enjoyable game against us last Saturday, and both teams had to shake off some ridiculous refereeing decisions.

Whilst I was disappointed we conceded such a late goal, I have to say I was impressed with Curzon's approach play, and the way you moved the ball about probing for an opening. Some wayward finishing by your players - as well as our keeper dominating his area - certainly prevented the second equaliser from being scored earlier.

Looking likely I got that very wrong with Kidderminster saying they had zero chance a few weeks ago.

Didn’t expect everyone in the top 10 to be so blah……..the only consistent play off side has been Chester.

I said we had to win every single game to stand a chance. If we sneak in I can't imagine any team would want to play us with our form currently

Your only downfall still is lack of options

It is why realistically the play off battle isn’t as open as it looks, it is why I class us out of it and class gloucester, Spennymoor and Darlington out of it, we needed really at least to be on 66 points.

The smart thing is Brackley and Alfreton to play for a 0-0 draw and do little it means with goal difference no one could really catch either.

Scarborough should win, they have a very easy home game, if they don’t win that they want shot.

Means our only options may just be Buxton, away at Chester, although since Chester are sorted my approach would be to just kick a few of their players early on so they worry about next week than this.

suppose you just have to win and hope, our chances are gone since Chorley play Gloucester and you have an easy home game but we deserve out of it.

Watched that Bradford home
Game between two poor teams neither trying to win and felt the two points dropped by both would bigger both teams come end.

I think Scarborough could be the ones that choke. Have a look at their form especially at home and it's not great.

I think Chester will want to keep good form against Buxton and I can see Chorley v Gloucester ending in a draw as well.

Ultimately we left it too late for it to be in our hands but if we keep up our early goal streak it immediately puts pressure on the other teams.

And if Brackley v Alfreton is a draw all we have to do is put 7 past Kettering without reply... Easy right?

A few weeks back I did a predictor and had us finishing 8th and I still think that might be the case realistically

We have been playing with 6 different changes in the last two games giving all the squad players a runout, i would expect we will do similar tomorrow with perhaps a strong bench if we need to make changes.

As things stand there's also a chance we could end up playing Buxton two weekends on the run, if they stay where they are and win the eliminator.

Willoughby, Williams & Thomas have had knocks and missed a few games, probably fit again now but doubt they'll be chanced. Weeks, Heywood & Coates were all rested last week. Kev Roberts is suspended.

It’s always difficult approaching the playoffs (when you’re definitely in them) knowing whether to rest key players and risk them being a bit rusty in the play off games or playing them and risking a knock. We’ve done both in the past and I don’t know which is the better way of doing it.

I have a feeling BPA is a massive banana skin this wkd for us. Nervous

Well at least Chorley have it in their own hands, a win guarantees them a place as Alfreton and Brackley play each other, also have the advantage of best GD. Still dont think we are quite good enough though to be honest.

Most of the play-off contenders are basically the best of a bad bunch, with us at the arse-end of the table the worst of them. I've not seen a genuinely good team in this league this season, buy my God we've been awful recently.

Who is good enough? Certainly not us. Not sure I care if we get in or not - the idea of us winning 3 games in a row, two of them away from home, is a nonsense.

Aggborough basically sold out in the home end today. Hoping for a favour or 2 from Chester, Gloucester and Banbury

It has been weird really. Buxton, Gloucester and curzon were relegation battlers at Christmas but their improved form and shocking form from afew top 7
Sides gave them a chance today.

To think heading turn of year Buxton we’re down bottom and Southport nearer top.

One day somebody will explain how, with largely the same squad, we can go seventeen unbeaten, then win 2 in 13, losing at home to the two sides already relegated. I`m not smart enough to figure it out. Agree re promotion, with no manager appointed and little time to build a NL squad, would be a disaster. But it won`t happen, of course. Feels like the end of an era....
