Let him talk us down I think we are a solid squad this year and will do far better than last season.
I'm still concerned that we are relying on the same defenders who conceded over 70 goals last season minus Livesey and Grand (who has signed for his hometown club Charnock Richard). Not sure if Liam Edwards has even made an appearance yet.

Get in, Lucas Tomlinson signs as does Kieran Phillips both from Bristol Rovers. Tomlinson was arguably our best player in the last few months of his loan last season. Massive signing for us. Kieran Phillips scored 17 in 30 in the Southern Premier for Swindon Supermarine and has been banging them during pre season so very happy with those two.

I think you've got two good'uns there. Hopefully you will have a successful season.

Liam Edwards is going to be a very good centre back

We've announced Sion Spence who played last few games on trial. Looked very good against Bath, was on trial at Walsall a few weeks back apparently. Was on the fringes of the Bristol Rovers 1st team, played 6 times in League Two. Appears to be a very good acquisition.

Also joining is young forward Johnny Johnston who has been released by Blackpool. Not signing, by the looks of it anyway, is Dan Wishart who was on trial at LB. Looked at an absolute unit and plenty of experience but we've since signed Owen Evans.

We've brought in Enock Lusiama on loan for a month from Accrington. We signed Nyal Bell but he's done his ACL in pre-season, and with Josh Hmami and Declan Evans both out injured too we risked going into Saturday's match at Boston not even being able to fill the bench. Lusiama has only played NWCFL in this country, so it's a bit of a gamble, but it's sad to say we're desperate already.

I thought Sean would have gone to a 4th division team at least. Manse has done very well to aquire him. Will get you goals.

So league starts tomorrow, a lot more travelling for everyone this season as the league seems much more spread out than a few years ago when we had most clubs around the Merseyside-Manchester-Leeds belt.

How do people see their side fare??

Curzon wise I have no clue, the signings look good, but still huge doubts on manager.

Think we need a central midfielder and another Centre Back personally. Decent forward Line in Hazel and Beck, Lambert will hopefully maintain his improvement and provide the creativity, but a lot hinges for me on whether we can get a tune out of Marcus Maddison, and keep David Wheater fit. Danny Rose, Alex Purver, and Adriano Moke are much of a muchness in midfield, for all they are decent players. None offer much in terms of attacking threat. Would like to see someone a little more forward thinking signed.

I fully expected us to be lower playoffs, but not so sure now. We seem to have quite a few injuries before we've kicked a ball in anger.

Busy day for us in the transfer market, basically padding our squad out.

Alfie Hughes a 19 year old midfielder plus Jordan Emery, a 23 year old central defender, who were both on trial pre season.

Also 4 of our academy players have signed first team contracts. Defenders Jack Winstanley and Charlie Mitchell, midfielders Reece McMann and Sean Chidanyika.

Lastly, we're rumoured to be signing winger Kaine Felix who only recently left Guiseley for Peterborough Sports.

Fingers crossed we come out the traps and off to a bright start last season was a total disaster with early season defeats. Our team-sheet should look impressive with our new additions with quality and experience in abundance.

We have quite the injury crisis with Lewis Earl now added to the list ruled out today for several weeks. I think that's seven out now. I like to be optimistic, just hope our younger lads can get a result tomorrow, do at least set to be back by a very decent away following by all accounts.

Wish I could be optimistic but fear we will struggle dont see us scoring enough wit the ineffective Jack Sampson up top, a season of struggle, mid table at best

We've kept the bulk of our side from last season, so we at least have some continuity for once which will hopefully stand us in good stead. We've got a small squad though, and already have 3 players out injured (one for the season), so I'm not sure how well we'll cope with the extra games this season. I suspect we'll be mid-table again with not quite enough to make the play-offs.

Only positive so far is we are not losing, have been rotten, Banbury should and deserve to be winning by couple of goals.

We just seem to lack everything at moment a Curzon side usually has, lacking fight, battle, pace and are too powerderpuff.

Just unsure of that is down to us lacking it (which is a worry) or Banbury maybe Ben g similar type and doing it far better than us.

Need a rocket up the backside

1-0 win on our longest journey. Perfect start to the season.

Sour point apparently our fans coach window has been smashed by Blyth fans

As expected we failed to score, on the plus side Sampson was sent off so will face a suspension, not sure how we fet a replacement without the funds cos nobody else will take Sampson.
Oh well see how we ho against Darlo next week.

Boston 3-5 Southport

Strange game. For the first hour Boston seemed unable to kick the ball but had no problems kicking our players, other than that they offered nothing and we picked them off with ease. A couple of substitutions from us due to injuries, and they clawed back some respectability with a couple injury time goals following some classic Paul Cox football.

I'd have taken a point at the start of the game, seeing us score 5 wasn't something many would have predicted. Nice to get off the mark early though after last season's slow start.

Fucking stupid sending off once again. O'Sullivan, made vice captain, sent off for a second yellow for blocking a throw in at 1 all. First game in, Daft twat.

Stupidest sending off ever, handed us the advantage in an even match. He needs his wages docking. I'd have been apoplectic with rage if it was a Darlo player.

He pressed the self destruct button, moment of madness wasn't much in the game either at that stage. Didn't do his team mates any favours. I bet your manager was livid...

Looking forward to next Saturday now with a win under our belt, any news on segregation in place with it being our first away game. I know theirs a lot travelling down.
