I can't believe we pulled that off. Completely out of it a few back to finishing 6th.

1 goal conceded in 7 that was a penalty. Roll on Tuesday

What on earth happened to Chorley?! 3-1 up and 4th at one point this afternoon and then finished 12th. Was a little bit nervy at half time at 0-0 but an early goal in the second half and Kettering never really looked like getting back into it. Felt for their fans, 283 away fans.

So I think it's as follows now:

Tuesday:
Alfreton v Kidderminster

Wednesday:
Brackley v Gloucester

Sunday:
King's Lynn v Alfreton/Kidderminster
Chester v Brackley/Gloucester

I know that technically we didn’t have anything to play for today as we already had third place but we put on a bit of a show for the 3500 fans, Buxton we’re never in it don’t know if nerves got to them but it could easily have been 8 and it wouldn’t have flattered us.

Yeah, Buxton were out of the play-off picture very early on, went behind early and never likely to get back in to it. To be honest they were lucky to get out at four.

So it's either Brackley or Gloucester for us at the Deva next Sunday.

I don’t know whose collapse this season was worse.

Southport who went from play off cert at the new year to pretty much relegated if season was 2-3 games more.

Darlington who were a possible title battler a couple of months ago to mid table fodder.

Or Scarborough who had two absolute easy games to clinch their easy play off spot and flogged both.

Play off battle this season is probably the weirdest I’ve seen in my 30 odd years for how it ended up to how it was during season, so many collapsed.

This is correct Andy

King's Lynn v Alfreton/ Kidderminster is a 12.30pm Kick Off and Chester FC v Brackley/Gloucester is a 3.30pm on the Sunday

The final is on the Sunday 14th May, i think it's at the highest place team's place

Let's hope its not Gloucester. I couldn't stand to watch their antics a second time.

Spennymoor were in the play-off's about 3 times during the game today, it was crazy how we were cheering when we were in it, Farsley were cheering when Kettering were losing, they knew they were staying up

We are bottom of the form table for the last 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 games, and joint bottom for 30 games. We were only in the play-off places when we had Marcus Carver on loan, as soon as he went back to Scunthorpe we started to implode.

At any normal club Liam Watson would have been sacked long ago, but he's on our 3 man board as well as being manager, so little chance of that.

A lot of our players are still under contract next season. I genuinely fear for us.

Given that we didn't have anything to play for, that performance was awesome. Replicate that next weekend and we should fear no-one. All done largely without Willoughby and a few others rested.

I’m thinking of attending the Chester vs Brackley/Gloucester next Sunday. How easy is it to get tickets or will it not be possible as you’ll need loyalty points @ Chester fans?

Should be fine. Season ticket holders and non season ticket members account for 2,000. General sale is from 10am on Wednesday, attendances have been on the rise recently but as long as you go early and after what you want then you’ll get it. Go for it.

Convinced myself we had no chance going into yesterday, we went 1 up and results were going our way...it couldn't happen to us could it..nah, Chorley equalised and then took a 3-1 lead. We've blown it. We then brought on Matthew Barnes-Homer, he's our assistant manager and is almost 38 years old. Gotta admit, I was thinking wtf are we doing.

That's why I'm not a football manager. King switched the formation and suddenly he became a real problem for the Chorley defence. He got one back...then nodded in a late equaliser. Not enough but what a come back.

Then in the 93rd minute of stoppage time, a cross comes in and Tope Obadeyi volleys it into the top corner to win it. Cue carnage.

Our record at Brackley is utter dogs eggs, so I will be going into Wednesday with the same mindset as yesterday. But whatever happens, that was the best football experience I've ever had.

All we needed was 1 more bloody win in that shit spell since Xmas and we’d have been there.

A proper kick in the balls.

Feel exactly the same way, Andy, how could we fail from a 3-1 lead with 15 mins to play, but we did! Hopefully new owners confirmed in the next week or so, personally hope they get rid of Preece but will have to see on that, fingers crossed for a good new chapter starting soon.

If you want Marcus Carver back i would think he’ll be available. Need to clear the decks for whoever we can tempt from March/Holbeach/Moulton Harrox/Eye to play for us.

A massive thank you for letting Whitehouse come to us he has been the player we have needed all season, how was he not able to get into your side the way you have struggled this season.

Forgot that was another crazy moment where Chorley made a sub as they had a player injured. But the guy got back up and carried on. Game was played for about 30 seconds with Chorley having 12 men on the field until the officials realised

Either the wonder manager didn’t fancy him or fell out with him and replaced him with… an injured Dean Rance.

But but but it’s not Jimmys fault.

So 1 relegated NL side in Scunthorpe, 4 promoted sides - South Shields and Warrington Town from the Northern Premier League and Tamworth FC and Rushall Olympic from the Southern League Central Premier Division

The thing is, who gets moved from the South into the North? Oxford City/Bishop's Stortford/Braintree Town have been mentioned
