Mansfield looked pretty poor today for the most part, not too concerned about them catching us.

Not a lot of change in the top 7 today, although it seems like Walsall and Stockport are coming up on the rails.

Thought we both did, you guys slightly better, poor game.

I thought we were terrible, northampton should have put as out of sight, however, their performance didn’t make me think they were a top 3 side either.

the leagues poor this season, but mansfield don’t look anything close to being a top 3 side.

Even if we finish in the playoffs we’ll do a mansfield and fuck them up

There’s every chance with the you’re on with the players you’ve got now you’ve learned the lay of the land that you could easily make the playoffs and go from there.

I think we need to strengthen a bit in January for us to trouble the play-offs.

I think we'll endeavor to and we will bring in players but I can't forsee whether they'll strengthen us until they arrive and play.

If it's true that both Tshimanga and this Oloafe guy from Millwall are coming then we should be getting into the playoffs and I'd want us to target the upper end/have a stab at getting third place.

If we can find a good LCB that would be ace too.

Both seems a bit much for me. I'd take one of them and I think we'll get something in. I heard today expect something quite early in the window.

Agree on LCB. Hussey done well there but seems to pick a lot of knocks and Johnson's distribution is not top half L2 standard.

A striker (or two), a first choice LCB and some cover at DM, as I don’t want to move Wright into midfield if Croasdale gets injured, and I’d be happy.

Evans and Macdonald can go and maybe even Sarcevic if he wants to go and we add two strikers as we’d still have Camps off the bench and Crankshaw wouldn’t be needed up top and Madden could even potentially drop deeper if needed.

Looking at the table . Think the title will go to Leyton Orient. They were the best team we played at home for the first part of the season last year. Think the other two will be Stevenage and Northampton . Tip for the play off's to be promoted are either Mansfield or Stockport. Bradford for there size should be up there but seem to have too many problems and Swindon are inconsistant.

Yeah they definitely created more, it’s pretty easy to cut us open, hoof it straight down the middle and boom you are through, panic stations.

Thats pretty much how we play. Curle will be getting a hard on if that's your weakness.

Some are starting to turn on clough especially on how he sets up with 1 upfront, it isn’t working and hasn’t produced the desired results - we aren’t in the table where we should be aiming for.

It is by and large more effective away (apart from harrogate which was a disaster).

If starts clarke in midfield instead of the ghastly out of form boateng we should at least be getting a point from tonight.

Well if he doesn't go for the win tonight, he'd deserve a bit of stick. I do look at the squad you have and you should be more consistent than you are. You will get your chances against our backline, as for us we have two big units upfront and look to get it in to them early or down the channels for runners. Could be a decent game.

Half way through our horrible run of fixtures and we’ve taken 7 points from Carlisle, Mansfield, Swindon and Orient. Maintained that gap to 4th. Now we move on to the gaggle of teams below them, 9th/10th/11th/7th and 13th. Tough tough tough.

Particularly interesting how that big bunch of playoff chasers are still clumped up, 4th all the way down to 14th covered by just 7 points.

the Championship was even tighter about a month ago even now it's a little tighter than us, 4th to 18th seperated by 10 but it was ridiculous before.

I think two or three of these teams are gonna pull away soon, especially with the opportunity in the transfer window to strengthen, some of them have the resources (they will feel) to leave the rest in the dust.

This time last year top place was Forest Green on 52 points. The other teams promoted were in 8th Exeter 9th Port Vale and ourselves in 16th . A massive 14 points behind 3rd place. So a decent january in the transfer market can really change things like it did for us.

That happened the season before too, with Bolton. There are a few teams in the chasing pack group who have the financial muscle to do it

We are only one point behind Northampton in 3rd now and 5 points ahead of Barrow in 8th.

Looking good.

Northampton must have dropped quite a few points lately, they looked comfortably ahead after they beat us..

Yeah we have definitely dropped off in recent weeks, largely due to injuries to be honest. The squad has been greatly stretched over a tough run of games. I am still confident we will be in and around the autos come the end of the season but think the top 2 are very much set in stone now.

Hush hush. Me and HG have an unspoken agreement that we don't come into this thread to talk up our chances. You'll jinx it! It's still far too close, we're still only a blip away from being mid table.

We had a rude awakening last week at Stevenage when all our recent bans and injuries caught up with us.

Losing centre back Dan Happe for the season could be a huge downfall for us - him and Omar Beckles have been superb this season.

1 goal in 6 games for us as well. Unless we improve on that then the chasing pack will close the gap to us, no way are we set in stone with all the teams having games in hand as well.

Hoping to add one attacking creative player to the squad.

Worth remembering that our strikers Charlie Kelman and Aaron Drinan only have 7 league goals between them and Harry Smith couldn’t play until now. If we’re caught it will likely be down to a lack of firepower IMO.

Are you worried you won't win the title now? Could Stockport still catch up and claim what is theirs?

The title doesn’t bother me personally - the top 3 has to be the first aim. I’ve never taken for granted our high points total - we’re Leyton Orient and there’s always a problem round the corner.

At this rate you’re more likely to catch us if you win tomorrow and win your game in hand on Tuesday, could well only be 6 points behind us come 9.45pm Tuesday evening!

Well looks like Orient are fucking it up and Northampton have been pretty inconsistent lately, funny how the top 3 thought they all had promotion sealed at one point when there was a bit of a gap from 4th as if no one could touch them and the rest of the league was crap.
See, this is what happens when you get complacent and arrogant, it makes you sloppy.

Well we're here now and we've invested in our squad this month with the aim of going all out for promotion and we're in hot form with positivity and determination etc, so one of you lot who has fallen asleep is going to fail..

Depending what happens with the games in hand for Crewe and Grimsby, you could be looking at from 5th to 17th separated by only 6 points.
