Our referee on Saturday is a Blackpool fan.

He reffed our game at Stoke tbf, which we won, don't remember him being a wanker on the day. Obviously is a wanker in general though.

I think Cardiff will end up improving as the season goes on and may end up towards mid table, no better. Alike the Bristol City comments on the other thread, they seem to just buy expensive dross and underachieve despite their purchasing power.

Their new manager had his team in the same mould as his last club. Very dangerous on the counter attack, but I thought that was their only outlet.

Not sure what was going on with Perry Ng and why the Luton players were rubbing their noses in it with him - maybe because he tripped Pelly up towards the hoardings a few minutes before which looked accidental more than anything.

Next 2 games v Stoke and Coventry. A real chance to consolidate that top 4 spot.
Before the penalty he was getting after Adebayo quite a bit trying to get in his head, hence why Adebayo took quite a long and circuitous route to the penalty spot trying to avoid him. Ultimately he was successful I think in doing that.

After Adebayo scored he went up to him and Pelly pulled a crying face at him and called him a little bitch with Adebayo standing in front of him, he did well not to react to that to be fair to him and at the end when Adebayo ran after him and patted him on his head!

Maybe Morris could do with similar lessons on how to keep his cool when being so clearly baited!

Another weekend -another team caught out playing from the back.

Hardly what you want to do against Burnley.

Interesting team.

I'm guessing.

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Hughes
Browne, Ledson, McCann, Brady
Cannon, Evans, Delap
Imagine we'll be very direct like against Birmingham.

Great win and back to back home wins. Started very strong got the goal and I felt controlled the game. Should have had a pen for a foul on Clark first half too during that first 15 mins or so when we were right at it. Looked blatant from my point of view.

Tired a little bit in the second half, you could tell we had played midweek and they hadn’t but Edwards made some subs just at the right moment to freshen it up and we saw it out with some relative comfort. Don’t think Horvath really had to make a save.

Loving the improvement, esp now under Edwards. The way the left and right centre halves get forward inside the wing backs and we change shape with and without the ball. Aggressive without and purposful with it.

What a transformation in two and a half seasons here in the Champ. So much more comfortable with the ball. When we improve our final ball and decisions someone is gonna get a right spanking and if we sustain it why not think bigger and better.

Let’s hope you don’t win those play offs but suspect you might be in them rather than us !

7 wins in 11 matches since Edwards joined the club. Some record that so far.

Yeah he’s emphasised the over lapping centre halves a few times in interviews, think Bell works well in that role nicely, emphasises his defensive strengths on the left side channel without asking him to do too much in attack although he still plays a role. Still not sure how he’ll do if a big centre forward tries to challenge him but it’s worked the last 2 games well. Burke is also great at that role and if his hamstrings weren’t made out of tissue paper he might not be here.

Also thought Jordan Clark was once again outstanding today, he’s gone to another level since Edwards came in (and was already outstanding before). But he’s becoming the midfield dictator of things now

Your fans raving about Alex Scott, last time there was an opposition reaction like that after a performance from one of ours it was Massengo

Hopefully doesn’t end the same way.

Sounds like Massengo only did it twice a season.

Decent technical footballer but his tactical awareness is horrific. Plays a bit like a primary school kid in that he just chases the ball around like a headless chicken.

Massengo has had a couple of good games against us too. Him and Pelly Ruddock have had some decent battles in that midfield over the past few seasons.

Didn’t realise he cost 7 million !?

Not the only ones who throw money away then .

A draw for us from 2 up.

Kind of sums our season up - inconsistent even during one match .

Doesn't look like there are any Terriers or Hoops fans on here these days. I went to Huddersfield v QPR yesterday after (wisely as things turned out) deciding not to try for a ticket for Tranmere's trip to Stockport. The home fans don't seem enamoured with their current Scots manager or the board and there were a few critical chants, especially when after the hosts had been dominant in possession Rangers scored with a breakaway move featuring poor defending and were mostly on top until a Huddersfield free-kick well-taken by Hungbo could only be parried by the keeper and was cut back for a Waghorn tap-in.

The second half was better, end to end stuff with both managers making a number of changes, one strong penalty shout for the hosts and the visitors failing to take advantage of another good break and cross across on open goal.

Pick of the players were Hungbo for Huddersfield and the tricky Chair for QPR. Think both teams will finish around where they are now, meaning a relegation for the Terriers the season after they nearly got back to the Prem.

Scratch that. I didn’t realise we’re now 18 points out of 21. And in that defeat we were 2-0 up v WBA! Form side in the division.

As much as it pains me, we’re going to have to switch it up and rotate players around for Tuesday night. I’d go for the following team:

Horvath, Burke, Osho, Bell, Onyedinma, Doughty, Campbell, Watson, Berry, Woodrow, Muskwe
Subs: Shea, Lockyer, Morris, Thorpe, Adebayo, Lansbury, Mpanzu, Pettit, Nelson

What is clear, if we get some injuries at the back end of the season, we could be short.

On loan from us - did well in Scotland too but didn't really seem to do it for us but maybe lower Championship is his level.

Chair is an excellent player and surprised teams in the PL haven't been in for him.

QPR have kind of gone to pot since Beale left whilst Huddersfield have a play-off and losing their decent manager hang over.

Appointing inexperienced managers probably hasn't helped.

According to Alex Neil, Stoke lost on Saturday because they were kicking up a hill?

In 24 years of going to probably 400-500 games at Kenilworth Rd, that is a new one for me.

Shaun Maloney does in his first game what Kolo Toure couldn’t get at all.

A clean sheet .

Disappointing result but not entirely surprised I must say. We had 2 big shifts to get back to back 1-0 wins in the league, decently long trip on a Tuesday night at a very tricky place to go with a crowd right behind Grimsby. Should have got the job done in the home game as this was always going to be an awkward game.

Would have been nice to play NJ in a competitive game if he makes it that far!

Only chance we have of getting something away at Burnley is with a defend for your lives, concede possession, hoof and hope job. Head says a heavy defeat.

Hopefully Whiteman is back, Onomah doesn't look fit enough to start games.

Lowe will no doubt persist with Storey, and no doubt Browne will be in for a long afternoon against Tella. No idea why Southampton didn't recall him.

Classic Championship.

Birmingham cannot buy a win then 2 comes along at once.

I mean goodness knows what this division will be like next season if there isn't a Burnley or Sheffield United type team.

Not looking forward to Gyokeres up against Osho. Not massive amounts we can do to change that as we have no other defenders on the bench. First start for Nakamba but Drameh being injured forces a reshuffle of the back line a little bit.
