Just looked at lineupss and Osho/Gyokeres duel was my first thought ;-)

Shame Drameh out. Whats up with him?

iFollow failed today but from live txts see the Osho Gyorkeres duel fears were well founded.

Played really well I think helped by the early goal from very sleepy Coventry defending. Had some bright openings and the better of the shots imo.

Looked well set going into half time until Osho, as feared gives one away. Think I’d have preferred to have done a straight swap for Fred for the injured Drameh than shift Bell and Doughty as Osho is just such a liability. As referred above, extremely predictable

1-1 a fair result but god, what an appalling refereeing performance for both sides.

Luton look a very good side. They make our fans who have the opinion that we can’t compete in this league because of our budget look pretty silly.

Agree 1-1 was pretty fair. Up until the penalty I felt we were comfortable bar maybe Gyokeres looking good but after the penalty I thought Coventry had the better of the second half bar one or two counters from ourselves.

If we had looked after the ball a little more could have created a bit more I felt but overall satisfied with a point. Didn’t think the ref was too bad I have to say albeit I thought Osho was a little fortunate to stay on.

iFollow messed around and only at halftime found i could watch it on the app. Happily take a point there in a difficult match. Gyokores caused problems and we could have nicked it, but fair result on second half i saw.

Didn’t realise how bad this miss was !

Good goal for the equaliser from our new defender but generally we were pretty lacklustre again .

Relegation looking a lot safer now. What a turnaround for us! On Boxing Day I thought Pearson was on his last legs.

As expected.

How can Southampton loan Tella out when they're so shit?

Zaroury is very good too.

They reinvested money very wisely.

Same as a lot of premier league clubs, too scared to give there younger players a chance and prefer to spend silly money on players who have done their initial development somewhere else.

None of them can afford to give too many a chance. The pressure and glare of the spotlight from fans and media is too intense to likely destroy a young untried gift that has a fragile inexperienced confidence.

Kompany had been groomed by the best. He invested exceptionally well, gave freedom and belief to flourish with little external pressure. It couldnt have gone any better. Burnley superb strategy for a Maserclass in dealing with a Prem relegation

Brought a lot from Man City I heard - hopeing they were the next Foden or something I suspect.

Trouble for Southampton or anyone else is there has been no Norwich or us at the bottom this season so really is a fight for all 3 spots.

Going to be a tough watch from our point of view I’d have thought tomorrow, Drameh ruled out and Doughty also doubtful. Given most of our attacks come from those wide positions it’s going to be disruptive. Likely be Bell and Onyedinma in those positions which isnt terrible but certainly isn’t optimal from our point of view.

Keeps Osho at centre half who is prone to lapses in concentration.

I guess our goal did come from their keeper messing up and Bachmann had to make some good saves so maybe they were due a goal but annoying as we had everyone back.

All got attracted to the ball .

Luton will pump us good.

We have to be the worst home team in the country since about mid-autumn.

Here’s hoping.
But Saturday took a lot out of the players. They were out on their feet at the end and I wonder if the schedule is now going to catch up with them.

Agree with Ken, squad looks knackered and important players are starting to drop now. Morris hasn’t scored in something like 10 games and looks done in to me. Particularly concerned about the wingbacks as that’s our main attacking outlet they’re both not available.

Taking a step back, we do seem to have a fairly big but uneven squad that causing some areas to really look burned out because they HAVE to play. Lots of similar midfield players but very thin at centre half, and up top now with Cornick gone. Back up options that are available not all that strong either.

I think it will be close with the small squad with have and injured players but they do surprise on occasion.

I think having Fred back is a major bonus but loosing both Doughty and Drameh is a step in the wrong direction.

Mere bumps in the road as the Happy Hatters Bandwagon is gaining momentum agaisnst the odds. We are looking at a knackered squad thats FOURTH, game in hand with long term injured players coming back and so far just knocks taking others out. There is no pressure just a hunger and desire.

Also true. One of the great things about supporting us is that for getting on for a decade now you can’t question the efforts of those playing for us. Still a great achievement where we are at and that’s easy to forget when talking about individual games or even this upcoming half a season

Typical mid week championship game. Everyone’s knackered and the quality isn’t great. Preston in particular suffering, felt like half the game so far has been us taking throw ins!

We have had by far the better of it and actually ended the half very strong. 2 good chances one from Clark and one from Adebayo. I think it probably should have been foul just before it but a criminal criminal miss in Adebayos case. I’ve never understood why he always shoots with his side foot, does it in warm ups all the time and leads to tame shots like that so often.

Preston barely been in the game. Fernandez looks good for them and provided the one exciting moment for them so far. But we’ve not taken presentable chances, so we all know what that means.

Not really sure how Luton aren’t ahead - some glorious chances wasted by Bell and Adebayo. Preston will feel they’ve got away with that at HT considering how sloppy they’ve been.

You’d doubt Preston could be as poor in the second half. Have to hope those misses won’t haunt us but it’s a familiar tale for every fan - don’t take your chances you’ll be punished eventually
