At the end of the day, with our squad depth I do expect us to struggle. A couple of injuries in certain areas and we are down to the youth team. It’s typical of our club, cutting costs, cuttinh corners to save a few pence here and there, not taking advantage of the fact we have a really good manager. But even I think it’s far too early for a relegation thread.

As far as I’m concerned yesterdays welcome win puts us 3 points closer to safety, nothing more. But a long way to go yet.

Carlisle have already slipped to just three points above the bottom two, ominous.

Didn't know they were a money club. Madness.

The guy who founded them back in 1999 is quite wealthy. He’s also the manager. But he did literally found the club and they’ve worked their way up from the Crawley district league to where they are today, and the rich owner/manager has been there every step of the way

Marc White is a wimbledon fan who decided to do it himself rather than follow afcw.ost of his backing ces from developers Stonegate homes.

A point closer to safety after today but my god that second half was concerning. Too many of our players switched back to type, as in relegation standard.

I’m hoping and preying that Simpson can turn water into wine again.

4 points from two games and yet another successive relegation beckons.

I'm already getting a bit of a stalk on over the prospect os us trailing 3-0 to Eastleigh on a Saturday afternoon.

 think we are here to stay… we are the bookies favourites for relegation, followed by Hartlepool.

Correct, we’ve gone from
2nd favourites to favourites with your brilliant start, and our not so brilliant one.

I heard some of your fans on BBC Cumbria the other week saying where are the goals going to come from / need new strikers etc etc.

Well 2 games and 6 goals later I wonder what they are thinking.

Yup. I think thisll be a slog. After today against another not so fancied side we look inept. A 'team' of strangers.annoying because really this is a mid table+ squad I wasn't convinced we should've stuck with Stockdale last season. For me he has a handful of games left to save himself. No mistakes of last season are being addressed. We look worse.

Totally agree, I wanted him gone last season at times due to his stubbornness and unwillingness to change his tactics and just generally learning nothing. As you’ve just said, I feel we look even worse. This is completely his own squad now so there are no excuses. He promised us attacking football, and what we have been served up is defensive, slow & predictable. I honestly couldn’t work out what our game plan was at all today. 2 games in and his players are already not playing for him. Long season ahead indeed, unless he goes, as I agree this squad is capable of midtable with the right manager leading it.

I'm not so sure. I think that in the main; the players we now have are not as good as the ones we had 12 months ago. we have sold or let leave some very good L2/L1 level players and replaced them in the main with journeymen or kids.

I like Stockdale as a person...he comes over as totally honest and never shirks a question, but I'm seriously doubting his tactical awareness. Big big questions of the coaching staff as well. I see nothing to suggest that they know what they're trying to do. The start to this season has been totally unacceptable.

Our win on the opening day isn't as good now because it turns out Crawley are genuinely shit and of course yesterday was awful from us not to beat the relegation favourites.

So that's it, it's all over we're going down.
Only chance of us staying up was if we won all 46 games convincingly and that obviously can't happen now.

You need to be a bit more positive. 4 points from the opening two games is the stuff of dreams really. Yes there were concerning signs yesterday but at least it didn’t end in defeat.

The way I look at it is we’re 4 points closer to safety than we were 8 days ago. We’re 4 points above the relegation zone as it stands so as long as we can keep that cushion that’s all that matters.

When you can only attract the standard of players we can, staying up has to be the primary objective, and 4 points from a possible 6 is a good start towards that goal.

Hmm, I think we're too good to go down..

We are going to make a lot of bad teams look good this season (no disrespect meant there) but the amount of time we allow the opposition to get back into their shape means we are going to struggle to break teams down and our preference to play tippy tappy stuff at the back will mean teams will puck us off.

But we're too good to go down....aren't we?
