I wish I did but don't really have much faith, other results yesterday weren't great, everyone bar Dale/Col U have 2 or even 3 in hand, after Feb our fixtures are rough as fuck and our record v top half is absolutely dire

We need at least 7 points from Sutton, Crewe, Walsall, Wimbledon before March just to keep our heads above water. If we don't get a decent haul this month then realistically we are done.

I am a lot more optimistic now we have some momentum. Many of our lot were cursing Hartlepool and Harrogate matching our 1-0 win yesterday but that just moves us all closer to the pack who many be drawn in.

Most important is that positive results breed confidence and the luck starts falling your way. Heads had gone down before Christmas but we have a lot more energy and positivity now.

Rochdale seem to be the only team that are still in a bad run and that is difficult to pull out of, particularly when one of your strike force turns 39 shortly and still played 90 minutes yesterday.

Have some faith Soup, if an 89th minute winner doesn’t get your dander up nothing will, it’s still way too soon to be worried about relegation, all those results today have just dragged more teams above into it, Crewe, Colchester even Grimsby aren’t a million miles away from it.
Hey, don't bring Grimsby into this thread!

We are looking up not down, I expect us to move along nicely once the new loanees really find their feet, two scored at Crewe yesterday and another one was MOM.

Aye probably not, but some team usually comes careering down the league out of nowhere.

Crewe have a good shot at this, as do the abysmal Doncaster.
Seen us play Donny twice now this season and they are poor, it says something when we have picked up 6 points from those games. In fact we only have 6 wins this season two from Donny, two from Rochdale, and one over both Grimsby and Crawley

Donny have already scrabbled up enough points in the bank to splutter on through the rest of the season, probably only need another 10 points, maybe less, can't see enough of us improving that rapidly at the bottom.

Teams with lots of games in hand still, Grimsby still have 4 and 5 on others around them, everyone from Colchester downwards should have a worry on.

That’s correct we’re not but after watching our last 2 performances away at Luton and Crewe I’d be staggered if we were to get dragged into it, too much quality in this team to get sucked into it I would hope.

Yep Crewe were absolutely dreadful yesterday, probably the worst Crewe team I’ve ever seen us come up against although i like to think a lot of that was down to our pressing as we never game them an inch.

Stockport County.
Anyone from Colchester (17th) down can still go down and anyone from Grimsby (16th) up can still get play offs at least.

Agree.
After resigning myself to relegation last week, after again shooting ourselves in the foot, yesterday has given me renewed hope.
We actually looked a like a football team for once, with players who can actually pass the ball & keeper who can catch one.
We've all seen over the years teams with games in hand, but don't win them.
Fifteen games left for us & plenty of twists & turns left yet.

We were 24 points off the play-offs a month ago, now it's down to 18 points. Keep up that level of catching up and we're there!

Love your optimism but you've got a long way to go. I look at the table and am always happy to see Grimsby closer in points to the play-off places compared to points from the relegation places. Just over halfway through the season and we are looking fine, our games in hand will decide if we push up or fall away, but I think we are safe from relegation.

I am not sure about Crawley. Despite the idiots in the boardroom, they looked lively in the first half and scored three at home the previous week. You would not have believed they were winless away from home.

Mind you, second half they just looked resigned to defeat after we scored.

Appointing Scott Lindsey could be the difference. Things must have been pretty awful at Swindon, despite their league position, for him to leave them in favour of the crypto boys.

Well there's definitely a trifecta of shit appearing at the bottom, Rochdale, Pools, Crawley certainly looking like the stragglers as others pull away, Harrogate have an annoying knack of twatting out stupid results from nowhere, Gillingham shouldn't be around for much longer.

Worry not everyone else.

Crawley were good tonight. Play like that most weeks they won't go down.

Both Harrogate and Crawley can compete on their day against anyone a little bit better than them.

We can't and it's a bad sign. We need points and fast, sadly I've seen nowt over the last couple of games to change my mind.

Appreciate the kind words, can’t see us coming back for a long time though sadly !
What’s been the issue at Dale? I saw your board were seeking investment towards the end of last year, but you’re mostly fan owned/run aren’t you?

I wonder if our new chairman had a look at look at you, he’s on record as saying he looked at serval clubs before deciding

Edit: and yes best of luck whatever happens now

Sad to see Dale's decline, we have a lot in common historically but not surprising, time catches up with the bottom feeders eventually.
