There is a fans forum at Alty tomorrow night, which is shaping up to be far more exciting than the game which precedes it. I can't be bothered waiting until 8pm for it, so I 'll have to read about it second hand.

I agree the season's over for us. Last home game at this level since promotion in 1983.

It seems we're going to make quite a few changes, according to some of AP's pre-game interviews. If that is the case it should give Halifax, who will be a lot more up for it then we are, a bit of hope.

Be nice to see Jim again, great bloke and a top manager.

It's nice to at least be involved in one of the 5 games that actually means something. Big 6 pointers at Boreham Wood, Eastleigh and Wrexham.

Most important games of the season tomorrow for us Boreham Wood, Alty and Halifax.
Not confident at all after a good home performance and victory v Wrexham was followed by a tepid away performance and loss at The Moss Rose.

Huge game yours. Winner stays up, loser looking for us to do them a favour. Not something you want to be relying on.

If Halifax go above either of you, I reckon they'll beat Macc at home next week.

Macc only seemed to play at 60% last week compared to their performance at ours earlier in the season where they tore us apart. That Macc team was still the best footballing team and performance I've seen this season.

Macc smashed us at their place as well. Surprised their out of the play-off picture tbh..

But they wont be up for it next week, a trip to Halifax is never pleasant and they'll be going all out. From many previous experiences of relegation scraps at this level, I'd want to make sure it's job done tomorrow. Last day shoot outs are painful, especially if your up against a team you should beat.

Think you'll get a result btw, B Wood aren't great at home. You might even outnumber them.

There's also a massive 6 pointer at the Rec tomorrow with both sides in the fight for a 14th place finish ;)

Seriously, I can see it being one of those end of season friendlies where almost nothing happens. It'll be 0-0 or 1-0 either way I expect.

We'll get a pointless result at Eastleigh ( 0-0 ) before smashing Grimsby by a rugby score which condemns us to another season of underachievement and lowering of expectations to the point everyone is happy as long as we win our derby games.

We're usually too good for Lincoln but they'll beat us tomorrow. Or at least they should.

As a supporter of a total basket case of a league club I do enjoy reading about the experiences and life in non league. I read these threads all the time and I must say it comes across that it's much more fun at this level, proper football in ways. You can just go and watch a game of football without the interference of Sky,BT mostly, and in general the politics that go with most league clubs, though I know you do get some of this but at clubs like mine it overtakes and consumes match days.
Obviously don't want Cov at this level but oh too actually enjoy most matchdays would be fantastic

It's wierd, I enjoy non league football , the 'scene'. There is something enjoyable about it, but equally there isn't much fun watching your club getting smashed by a team supported by 5 guys and a dog. Or watch as some unknown bankrolled village team march up through the leagues as your ex-league team constantly fall short. You soon learn that past glories don't mean much.

So yeah, hope that Cov never get relegated down here but why not adopt a second team?

When I was a student I went to watch Coventry play Sheffield Wednesday at Highfield road back in 1998. Premier league!

Right up against it tomorrow but it wouldn't entirely surprise me if we got something, pleasantly surprised at how our players have responded to Burr's dismissal.

They definitely seem to be right behind Macca at the moment, calling for him to get the job and everything, so who knows.

Losing in the play offs every year and having referees as adequate at spotting things as Stevie Wonder is not my idea of having fun to be honest.

Excellent. Make sure you take that attitude to Guisly next week. Thanks. :woo:

Just one more match thread you're allowed to post in after today. Then you'll off to the National North one for the foreseeable future.:bdick:

Final Home Game of the season today as we host Stockport.

Fully expect a end of the season stroll with both sides having more than one eye on next season.
