I think we're gonna draw and take the replay back to the fortress.

Aaaaaahhhhh the FA Cup, so many opportunities. Exciting every year, til we get a shit draw and go out at the first hurdle.

Are our old friends Sutton, Worcester and Woking still in the competition?

All three are in the competition. All three fixtures can be seen in the opening post of the thread... ;)

Indeed we are.

Here is a video for you

Our game v Aldershot could go either way. I wouldn't be surprised if we snuck a win, or if we lost heavily

Our forum has started to melt down ahead of the game because of segregation arrangements. Away fans to be offered part of the pop side because it might rain.
I really don't understand why we give a shit about away fans getting wet. Especially if accommodating them means inconveniencing our own supporters.

Hawkridge given the all clear by Scunthorpe to play in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Brown can play for Halifax, Nolan can't for Wrexham (not sure why we've made that call - probably to piss Nolan off).

Common decency perhaps?
We always get pissed on when we go there as well, literally every time.

Considering that, I genuinely couldn't care less if six Alty fans have to stand ten yards to the right for a game.

we've got AFC Fylde away - they somehow beat us home and away last season - but still couldn't win the league...
terrible draw - horrible club and almost no fans - a bit like FGR but you can get burgers with meat in them....
the chances are that we will outnumber them at their ground again...
one of our fans went on their forum last week to ask them which corner of the ground they wanted... it's that underused there's been no reply yet...

Are there any clubs left in this years competition who've never made the 1st round before, if so good luck.
I'm off to Prenton park on Saturday to watch us play Lincoln, disappointed to be drawn against them as I was hoping for a day out on the ale in somewhere like Stalybridge or Harrogate.
Lincoln are in a good vein of form so I think we will have to be at our best to progress. New territory for us this the 4Q round so I'm not sure how many we'll get in for this, I suspect somewhere around 3000.

I'm nervous about Saturday's game. Two defeats in the past two seasons to teams from the division below us means that it's difficult to be confident even if we are a much better team now.

Charlton have given us permission to play Dillon Phillips, which is great news, not sure on Rob Dickie from Reading. I suspect James Dayton will make his debut and a possible change of formation to 4-4-2.

I was planning to go, but my lift has had some bad news which means he probably won't be able to. Sometimes there are things more important than football.

Completely agree - it's not like they're rammed in the home end ffs.

Off to Whitehawk v Poole Town and reporting for the Non League Paper. Very much looking forward to it, two very attacking teams, home team will obviously be favourites but have a habit of playing 2-1-7 and it regularly costs them goals.

A bit of hysteria in Harrogate apparently - someone mentioned Cleethorpes Beach Patrol FFS, ie GTFC 80s equivalent to Leeds Service Crew - will the Service Crew turn up for a meet in Betty's Tea Shop, they better close 3 hours before KO? A bit over the top we've had alot of big followings this season and no trouble so far.

After scoring 7 last week we've only had one draw so far, after a 4 goal win we draw at least two so surely another draw is due.

They only moved us out the rain last year once an old man slipped and injured himself.

The covered terrace was empty all game too; Make it sound like alty have 5000 plus in the ground.

I thought Alty didn't generally segregate, or do they do so when they play Chester?

Most games are segregated now, odd ones aren't (don't know the criteria applied)

We seem to have a bit of an injury crisis. Difficult to believe given our reputation for having loads of strikers, but we currently have Kurtis Guthrie as our only fit option up front. We also have our captain, key centre half and both first and second choice goalkeepers ruled out. We've loaned out a few players recently who we apparently can't recall or are cup-tied, so we're down to the bare bones with a rookie keeper and 1 striker, with a bench likely to be filled with youth players.

We basically have a decent team (minus a goalkeeper) to start the game, as long as we play 4-5-1, but not much else, so odds on an upset must be narrowing. Margate will definitely fancy their chances.

Hey Aldershot fans, what (if any) segregation arrangements will there be tomorrow?
