I don't really agree in general that they look older but it definitely happens. There was a girl on Facebook adding me and a few mates years ago (not in that way but she was obviously on an adding spree) and she was good-looking (stick with me), I knew straight away it was a girl in my Sister's year so she would be 15 but one of my mates brought it up and I was like 'woah lads'. I saw her about though and there's no way you'd even question she was below 17/18, it wouldn't even enter your mind. There's a difference between that and doing your 'due diligence' though I suppose. Hypothetically, if he met her in a club then yeah, not sure what you'd expect him to do...ask for ID?

This is all assuming that's what happened and he isn't some predator who knew full well what he was doing.
