in off this week so i will take a turn:

Barrow v eastleigh (1215 tv)
Aldershot v guiseley
Borehamwood v woking
Braintree v solihull
Chester v lincoln
Dover v tranmere
Fgr v dnr
Gateshead v wrexham
Maidstone v macc
North ferriby nil v bromley
Torquay v southport
York v sutton.

6 of the top seven play each other and the other lincoln are up against chesters steel curtain. At the bottom southport v torquay looks to be the one to avoid, only north ferriby nil have scored less then these two. Do i drive to dover?

Of course you do.

Think we'll draw on Saturday, I'd be happy with that. If Miller isn't suspended that is, but I'm quite sure he's not despite what our forum seem to think. He appears to have picked up 5 bookings but either the FA have missed one or our match reports have got it wrong.

A real shame that we couldn't get our new stand open for this game, would have been good for the atmosphere to be able to share an end with Tranmere. Looking forward to it nonetheless.

A few points being dropped at the top this season with FGR/Dagenham, Barrow/Eastleigh and Dover/Tranmere.

Toughie for us at Chester. Neither team are conceding many goals at the minute.

Hopefully we avoid defeat to keep in touch with FGR. I can't see it though, 3-1 loss I reckon.

Getting reffed out and losing at Boreham Wood in front of 400 people will surely be our lowest point under Garry Hill in nearly six years.

These match threads are starting earlier and earlier. I might do one next week for the rearranged fixtures being played March 28th.

We need to win this weekend.

I might have risked thoughts of a point at Aldershot but Simon 'the beast' Walton will be suspended so not protecting the back line or distributing the ball. We don't have anyone else like him in the squad. Still a couple of forwards out injured too.

I'm sure we can accommodate that.

SEVEN clean sheets in a row, if we keep Daggers out we'll equal the record.

WHAT A TEAM we are, play the best football AND we've got the best defence. Unbelievable Jeff.

Can't wait for Saturday.

We are the only side to have scored more than 1 goal past Forest Green in the league this season. Impressive stuff.

36% of your goals conceded have been against Dover, 27% have been scored by Ricky Miller.

You/Miller tore our defence apart tbf. Glad we haven't got to play you every week.

Likewise. We've conceded as many goals as North Ferriby this season, so it's a good job we have the attacking talent that we do.

We've conceded one goal less than you so I'm not sure you can claim the title of best defence.

This is a crucial game for us this weekend, looking at the other games for the teams at the top, and also because of our fixtures in November/December.

Must be. Grimsby won the title in pre-season last year after beating some Football League U21 sides.

Wrexham won the title in July this year after beating a STRONG Telford side. The same game in which Anthony Barry won the player of the season award.

Its still on. Mills is operating on a level far above us mere mortals. Getting sacked and taking York down is all part of his long term plan to secure our promotion.

Whatever happens with Mills, if we do manage to achieve the unthinkable and join Stockport et al then I doubt much of the blame will be attached to him.

Fascinating encounter this weekend, Tranmere have let in just ten and we've let in a couple shy of 30!!

I think even Stevie Wonder can work out our problem. Saying that Tranmere have only scored what 20, and we have scored well over thirty, hence the fascinating mix at the weekend. The one thing Tranmere will have going for them, even if Miller is available, which am pretty sure he is, is that Mcnulty won't have to go near him, if he had too, he would get ripped apart by his ex Luton team mate.

I never rated Norwood as high as some, despite his rather more mobile way of playing, so am not sure how big a miss he will be, and am wondering if it will work more in our favour that in Cook, who is very decent, even if he was a nasty sod last year, and Kirby (is he the slightly rotund chappy btw) they do have a couple of very big lads and touch wood we seem to repel those slightly more easier than the smaller nippier types.

If Tranmere do score first, with the resillience of their defence I fear it could end up to be another scoreline to embarrass further our goals against column. If the opposite happens, and we go ahead, I think we could win this quite easily (by two goals) and lets hope they do double, treble up on Miller as it should give far more room for everyone else, who goal wise have to step up to the mark, because no-one can keep scoring at this rate.

Fascinating it really is, by the way how many will Tranmere bring down this weekend, 150/200 ?

I've been thinking about this, and I'd be tempted to drop Lafayette and bring in Emmanuel, Marsh or Jackson, with Miller playing through the middle. McNulty is one of the best centre halves in the league but he doesn't stand a chance against a front 3 of Miller, Modeste and one of the above. I think he'd do a decent job of negating any threat posed by Lafayette unfortunately.

Emmanuel hasn't seemed to quite make the impact for you I thought he would, was prolific last season?

Thought he was a great signing when you got him, surprised he hasn't scored more.

He's not actually played all that much, he's always looked dangerous when he's been on the pitch though.

Fair enough, seems strange that he hasn't played much for you given how prolific he was last season for Bromley. Do him and Miller not play well together?

If you could get both on the pitch and scoring you'd be pretty tough to stop..
