Crewe Alexandra v Leyton Orient
Doncaster Rovers v Tranmere Rovers
Just two games, both featuring teams under a spell of indifferent recent form, although table-topping Orient were back to winning ways at the weekend.
Any risk of the game at Doncaster being frozen off again, Donny fans? Temperature was in the minuses last night in Huddersfield.
Assuming it does go ahead, a contest between two sides both needing a win. Defensive howlers contributed to our downfall at Stockport and there seems to be a gulf developing between those Rovers fans who feel that keeper Hewelt was to blame and those who attribute more responsibility to the defenders who put him in that position. A snapshot of that divide features on the weekend thread. Regardless, we don't have any keeper options, with veteran Joe Murphy unlikely to be able to manage more than a cameo off the bench, so Hewelt starts. Mellon was surprisingly positive about the Stockport defeat, which suggests that many changes are unlikely, although there is an argument that as many as three more of our January additions could join Saunders in the starting xi. Throw in the erratic refereeing of Andy Haines and anything could happen.
