Crewe Alexandra v Leyton Orient
Doncaster Rovers v Tranmere Rovers

Just two games, both featuring teams under a spell of indifferent recent form, although table-topping Orient were back to winning ways at the weekend.

Any risk of the game at Doncaster being frozen off again, Donny fans? Temperature was in the minuses last night in Huddersfield.

Assuming it does go ahead, a contest between two sides both needing a win. Defensive howlers contributed to our downfall at Stockport and there seems to be a gulf developing between those Rovers fans who feel that keeper Hewelt was to blame and those who attribute more responsibility to the defenders who put him in that position. A snapshot of that divide features on the weekend thread. Regardless, we don't have any keeper options, with veteran Joe Murphy unlikely to be able to manage more than a cameo off the bench, so Hewelt starts. Mellon was surprisingly positive about the Stockport defeat, which suggests that many changes are unlikely, although there is an argument that as many as three more of our January additions could join Saunders in the starting xi. Throw in the erratic refereeing of Andy Haines and anything could happen.

Unlikely to be off, can only see a defeat as we are an utter shambles from the top to bottom of the club, more protests against the board expected only place we are headed is non league

Thanks for the weather prediction. We have recent history for boosting out of form opponents, so I wouldn't give up yet.

Grimsby v Luton in the FA Cup too, as the last remaining League 2 team I hope you’ll all be cheering us on, keep the League 2 flag flying high. :)

I’ve got a strange feeling that we’re gonna beat them too.

We still have injuries it seems, so expecting a similar sort of team to Saturday, which was a bit patched up. Can See Craig Clay coming into the midfield though for Jordan Lyden.

Crewe beat us 1-0 in the FA Cup earlier in the season, I was annoyed this was originally called off back in December as we had good momentum then........

How has Lyden looked out of interest Arnie?

Shown some good touches and passes, looks a bit laboured which is not suprising and has lasted 60mins in our last two games. Steady so far, good thing we did have him on Saturday as we was pushed for midfielders a bit.

That's positive to hear, I did like Lyden. Has he put in any crunching tackles yet? I do wonder how much his injuries have set him back, Wellens was a big fan so I'd like to see him have a good run of games and hopefully he can get back to his best.

Nope, no tackles at all yet, as you say you wonder how far back the injuries have set him but we'll find out in the coming weeks because he will be used, as one of our midfield regulars Jordan Brown is out for a month.

Orient win please, don't want Crewe picking up points now that the middle pack are getting reeled in to the relegation scrap.

Not looking forward to this one little bit. I missed the cup match v the O's, so it will nice to welcome them back to Crewe as a league side, the last time we played them in the league at home I think it officially relegated them, not nice to witness. But, the reality now is that tonight's match is all about Orient just putting in a 6/10 performance to take the points, we will be very fragile after the dross we served up against Grimsby, Grimsby started a place below us but looked 2 leagues above, after going 4 undefeated that 1 defeat undid all the good work just in time for the league leaders.

It’s not just the out of form, the head coach doesn’t seem to have a clue what formation to play, we don’t have a midfield and our defence is hopeless, the whole clubs a mess, fans protesting against the board and wanting them out and the owners are thinking of leaving which isn’t going to help if we don’t get another rich person wants to own a football club

Crewe will have to improve dramatically to worry Orient, they were not at the races at all against us on Saturday. They used to punish us at Gresty Road every time we played them, really pleased we did the same to them at last!

Our FA Cup replay at home to Luton should be a cracker, they have a very under rated team and should beat us easily, but it's nearly a full house in the home seats and you never know if they will play their best 11 with their league games coming thick and fast?

Changed midfield for Rovers with new recruits Walker and Hendry getting a first start, will be interesting to see if that makes an impact

Guessing none of the Town fans have got a dodgy stream? Doesn't seem like there is one. JT and Crofty here. Shame that there isn't a way for the club/The FA to have monetised this fixture. Mad that we can watch L2 clubs vs Crystal Palace u23s but a massive match like this is a no no.

1-0 to Orient up in Cheshire. Aside from a little flurry in injury time Crewe have been absolutel wank. Terrible defending and keeping for our goal. Hopefully we go up one gear and kill the game off.

Comfortable from the Os so far, awful goal but I think deservedly 1 up on balance.

Grimsby 3 up at HT, amazing stuff! Great draw at home to Southampton if they see it through as well.

Well I can’t believe we are winning 2-0, still think we will lose but Tranmere have had so much possession but look as clueless as we normally do in the 18 yard box

We are bloody awful, very lucky first which we really needed and a bit of luck with the second although Hurst took it well, Tranmere hit the woodwork twice but for all their possession they didn’t look anymore threatening than us

Deserved win overall, we had a 25min spell where we put Crewe up pressure and managed to get a goal in that period.

End of the first half and start of second half Crewe threatened and on another day May have scored to change the flow of the game, Colkett was unlucky when he hit the post.

Once we scored the second Crewe’s heads went down and we controlled the game to see out the win with little bother, we played well I thought with again a bit of a patched up squad due to injuries.

Need to get 6 wins now in 16 games, tough game at Walsall Saturday - our games with the Saddlers are usually very low scoring.
