Well that's pretty much it then, Pennock has conceded the title and the way we're playing might as well concede the play-offs as well.

Liked Braintree, nice club with decent bar and banter, not sure they look good enough to make the play-offs on that showing though as they look a bit toothless up top. We also have that problem, plus the rumours that several players have fallen out with Pennock could also be affecting our form, which recently has been pretty poor to watch and has yielded very few wins. Earlier in the season we were nicking games playing shit football, which you can put up with, but its harder to take when you're not even getting the results.
Hi Chris glad you liked your visit, thought a draw was a fair result overall. Does Vince ever go to away games or does the smell of our delicious burgers etc keep him away? Speaking to one of your fans about playing budgets he reckoned yours is about 1.5mill which is 5 times ours. If that is true you really need to buy Akinola (100k would do it) and that would be money well spent.

Went to the Braintree v Forest Green game yesterday and thought that whilst Forest Green were probably deserving of more from the first half than going in at 1-1, there was only going to be one winner after the break - Braintree could feel hard done by not picking up all three points in the end. Thought the ref was awful as well, the game was just constantly stop-start and there didn't seem to be any real need for it.

how is Miekle doing for you and how long a contract did you sign him on?
Lindon is doing well. A great signing who is a real threat at this level. He has gone off the boil recently but as had most of the players up until yesterday.

We signed him in January on a 18 month deal till Summer 2017.

It's alright - just chuck another million at it in the summer and you might eventually get it right!
Wrong- all the money in the world won't be enough because the real players and coaches that Vince needs to make his dream come true, will choose a real club over a fake one all day long. :£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£

we'll try for you on Tuesday - if we can win or draw at Eastleigh i'd say you're 99% to be safe in a play off spot then

To be honest we should get 4 points from Macc and Kiddy which would just about wrap it up

If you could wrap it up before then that'd be great, we maybe basically down but we're not yet and one the off chance we're not down with 2 games left I'd like for you to have secured playoffs

Am I right in thinking that he signed for Alfreton just before your upturn in form, as well as our complete loss of form? Wish we'd tried harder to keep hold of him. He got on fine in the 5th division.

Macc played well yesterday and might upset you - so we'll try turn them over anyway ;)
We were good in patches and managed to string together some nice moves when we kept the ball on the ground. We're certainly playing better now than we were when the original match was suspiciously called off so I'd back us to give Dover a decent game. I'd say we're in with a chance of getting something from the game as our form has really picked up now that we realistically have nothing to play for.

The Wright issue is over for me- he'll be happy for now but he'll also probably continue to be a journeyman non-league striker til he retires. If he hadn't have done either incident, he'd still have more respected fans than he does now.

We had a decent referee against Grimsby on Tuesday, didnt notice him much which was a good thing and he generally tried to let the game flow by not blowing up for every small bit of contact. Problem is with a good game like that he'll be plucked out of the conference and put in charge of a League 1 game very quickly!
He was the same ref[Mr Busby] as we had v Forest Green and neither side's fanbase was impressed in that one.

To be fair, both teams made it easy for him with no diving, cheating or whinging, they just both got on with playing football and the game was much better for it.

Vince rarely does away games, if you're lucky you might get one or two directors, but usually it'll be members of our advisory board or supporters club/trust representing us.

Akinola looked class, saw rumours we after him in Jan but expect he'll move to a league club. 100k was allegedly what we spent on Marsh-Brown, so we could probably afford it, but not convinced it's been value for money with him tbh.

Chez Isaac is another one who always looks good against us, quality player.

Agree draw a fair result, will definitely look to come again next season if we're in the same league, or maybe even next month in the play-offs nice club good day out although none of my runners came through on your sweepstake lol.

Wasnt there a rumour about Vince not being allowed into some of the Directors boxes due to his jeans and lack of a tie?

He was in the front row of away fans against the Northerners though (CTFC) I imagine thats the only match this year he can get to before his car needs a recharge. Next year I think that it could just about get to Solihull before it conked out, though may need a tow for the last few miles

Yep, he was told he couldn't come into our boardroom last year because he looked like a tramp. He was allowed in the Directors box though.

Its his deliberately holed jeans and pretend paint blobs that get me rather than the tramp look per se. Looks ridiculous when he could afford a full time seamstress and a vat of polyclens to swim in

I think he wouldn't be allowed in at Barrow if he did wear a tie...

Vince is chauffeured to games so recharging isn't a problem!
