Accrington v Carlisle Part 2

Another important game here, just 10 days after our 2-0 defeat of Accy at Brunton Park. I expect a different performance from them this time, though they'll be without key players Josh Windass (injured) and Shay McCartan (suspension).

I planned to go to the Boxing Day match, but I won't be able to make this one. I hope our players put in a better performance than they did at the weekend, defeat could put an end to our playoff ambitions.

I'll go for a 2-1 away win.

I'm glad McCartan is suspended. He looked a threat, he absolutely roasted Atkinson onto a through ball and forced a good save from Gillespie.

I've been predicting a lot of wins and draws recently, I got the reverse fixture spot on.

However I'm predicting defeat tonight. I think it'll be another 3-1, but not as bad as last seasons horror show.

Unsurprisingly the referee has 'evened things up'. I think everyone in the ground apart from the referee knew that an Accrington player would get sent off eventually. Sounds like potentially another soft one.

Oddly I'm actually a bit disappointed in this. We were quite good 10v11, the change to 10v10 might unsettle us... also the referee might start turning in Accrington's favour now he no longer feels he owes us one.

What a total twat Accringtons manager John Coleman is as he apparently went over to the Carlisle fans after the final whistle and gave them some verbal abuse but then the Carlisle fans dragged him into the stand and the fat bastard must of fell on and broke an advertising board in the process.

He's been less effective recently, I think his last goal was mid-December. I'd rather have him in the side, but I'm not as worried about his suspension as I would've been earlier in the season (though Curle said on the radio he'd be disappointed if it's not overturned - that doesn't happen very often in the lower leagues).

Stevenage, Wimbledon and Morecambe up next, at least 2 wins from them I hope.

I thought we were excellent tonight. Just ran out of steam after an hour. The shift we put in first half to restrict them to pretty much nothing was superb.
What a player Hallam Hope is when he puts his mind to it. More of the same Saturday HH.

Not a bad point really, keeps us just 5 points off 7th with games in hand on everyone between us and 4 in hand on Mansfield.
