I went a few months ago and they were testing with dummies on Smiler.

There's no way Silkyman would have ever gone on a ride as jovially named as "Smiler" anyway - even if he may have briefly contemplated doing so after the morbid accident made it slightly more appealing to his sinister nature and innate attraction to the macabre.

If it was called "Grouchy" or "Moaner" he'd have been first in line on the day it opened.
