How the fuck did you become a mod?!

Saddlerrad & TractorBoys, is the criteria for coming a mod based on post count? Because TomPNE94 is fucking useless, and now you've given it to this one as well!

Edit: Back on topic. Tragic accident, feel sorry for the poor bastard who's lost a leg, but unfortunately these things happen. Before long, everyone other than those immediately affected will forget about this. People will continue going to theme parks and Alton Towers' stocks won't take a hit at all.

Drawn here by Carel's nomination, my education continues.

I have to admit, since I've never been near a theme park in my life, I did originally wonder how thrilling a Last of the Summer Wine ride could actually be?

But I have been thinking about asking mods to clamp down on a couple of things extra, specifically in the shoutbox.

About time. Some of the stuff in there is too much for my delicate eyes.

One of the poor girls in the front row has had to have her left leg amputated. What a tragedy, she is only 17.

Really sad news - I'm sure I read that she was only visiting the park with her boyfriend for their first date as well.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Smiler never re-opened. Not sure why Oblivion and Enterprise need to be shut too, though.

I've got the Alton towers app from when we went a while back, and the queue times are almost non existent at the moment. 20 minutes for Air is the longest wait.

I imagine they'll be doing more testing on those rides in that section? or maybe they have people checking over the Smiler still and don't want the area overcrowded?

Possibly. I can't see why there would be a problem with the other two, as there's only one car on the track at a time on Oblivion and Enterprise is a totally different thing. Possible that they just don't want people around, but the location of the Smiler would be quite easy to close off on it's own.

Nothing wrong with Oblivion or Enterprise, the area will just be closed off to keep prying eyes away from the Smiler whilst investigations are ongoing.

Yesterday people that went to the park were given free return tickets for any day this season. Also, all of the Smiler merchandise in the shops have been removed, aswell as references to the ride throughout the park.

I went a few months ago and they were testing with dummies on Smiler. By all accounts it'll be open and running next month.
