Odd how the Texans only lost by 7, genuinely looked second best at almost all times. Watt's a monster still and Clowney showed signs, but when the average drive started at the Chiefs' 40 (as the broadcast was saying in the second half, probably not as bad by the end), there's only so much you can do.

Still expect Hoyer to start on Sunday but you get the feeling he's on a short leash after that. O'Brien wouldn't confirm him as the starter today

Jarryd Hayne's big moment..... fumbles first punt for a turnover. :ffs:

> 2nd touch went better. Goin to bed before Berman's play by play gives me any more brain damage.

Yep, hard to believe we was only a score away.

Being brutally honest, it was painful watching Hoyer on Sunday, the pick he threw was just awful.

Think it was a bad day at the office all round, secondary was poor in the first half and special teams wasn't great, fortunate twice that the Chiefs just stepped on the line of the end zone.

O'Brien is making us wait until Sunday to find out the starting QB.

The two WRs did well though, I thought.

I always find it interesting in NFL how big a difference a great offensive QB or RB can make to his team's defence, enabling the team to stay on the field for longer and therefore reducing the time the opposition has to take on said defence.

or an OC who actually uses them properly. Last season Bell ran well, first game Abdullah looks the part but Lombardi seems incapable of using an RB well. It cost the Lions games last season and Sunday was another example of poor calls leading to the D having to be on the field for an age.

James Corden is on the CBS pre game show. Deion Sanders and a BiIll Cowher are doing jokes about him.

Corden and Kay in a Baker and Kelly's V.S.P.O type dealy when BT inevitably buy the rights to all NFL games...

I was wondering where that idiot went. Americans like...him? :dk:

The Broncos are quickly abandoning the John Elway Superbowl tactics of running the ball from under centre and taking the game out of the QB's hands, Manning so much better in shotgun. He can't play in 'any' offence. Chief's defence looked a bit gassed after the pick six.

Really looking forward to the games this weekend, Pats/Bills could be a great matchup, and I've booked the Monday morning off work so that I can watch the Pack game live.

Was expecting to lose last week, so I could do with the win this time :)

Think I'm going to be beaten quite comprehensively this week.

Kim Mitten has 20 points on me already thanks to Emmanuel Sanders last night. More than any of my players got last week is that. Looking good. :err:

I'm down a Dez Bryant, and lost my flex last night by not changing it.

Unlikely, seeing as I brought Smith in for Big Ben last night. Got about 5 points at QB.

True.

Didn't notice that when I posted to be honest. I still have my 'big players' to come so we'll see.

Can anyone recommend a sports bar in London that shows college football please. Preferably near a tube station.

The Famous 3 Kings near West Kensington tube might. I've never been in there for college games but they usually have NFL games on, on Sunday.
Also check out Jetlag Sports Bar, that's not very far from Great Portland Street tube, again I've been in there for NFL and MLB but don't know about NCAA games.

Me From February - August: Just give me football! Any football! I'll watch anything and be grateful for it!

Me Friday night week 3: Christ this Florida State BU game is dire. Shoulda watched a film instead.

(Redeeming feature: Troy Flutie nephew of Doug played some at QB. Looks like he weighs about 135lbs, and they had him running the option against the Seminoles' Deathskullz stocked d-line. Went well)

Is there any harm in calling the sports American rugby instead of "football"? You know, now that the rest of the planet calls something else football?

Damn shame the Ole Miss-Bama game is on so late, I'll probably catch the first half though.

A couple of other good match-ups on earlier though on BT/ESPN.
