Advantage of picking last is that your 2nd round pick comes straight after though, right?

Except this year I picked 8th.

In the league I'm in, we didn't do a snaked draft. Those who picked first picked first in every round.

Bit shit but hey ho.

That's a commissioner firing offence right there, I guess if it's the leagues first season then mistakes will probably be made.

Abdullah to IR, have to hope 7th round draft pick Dwayne Washington can cope otherwise this season just went down the pan fast. He was being used as a redzone power back, already has a couple of TDs, but he now as the chance to be the number 1 back. He wasn't thrown in the deep end against the Titans and the whole O went off the rails when Abdullah went off, so fingers crossed.

Peterson also gone from the NFC North running game, but he might be done for the season, Vikes saying they hope to have him back for the playoffs (if they get there). They've signed Ronnie Hillman, so good luck with that, but already announced McKinnon is their new no.1 back.

Does anyone know if Eddleman has to play as QB tonight do I get points for him at WR?

Any points you'd have gained for him while he was a receiver would still count.

Any passing yards / TD's would be scored as a QB would normally. I daresay if Edelman is called upon tonight he will pretty much be handing it off or running it himself and rushing yards / TD's are all scored the same regardless of position.

Whispers that Gronk is going to play.

If he plays (and I personally wouldn't risk him with 10 days rest after this game) I'd imagine he would be on a snap count anyway. That and Gronk has not played a snap even in preseason so would imagine he will be fairly rusty in any case. He always takes a few weeks to get going.

I hope he doesn't play or that's gonna cause a headache with my fantasy selection tonight...

Well it's official, Gronk is active for tonight. A little nervy on this but on the plus side Martellus Bennett has been superb at the start of this season so should lighten the load on him.

Edelman as the back-up QB. A huge risk.

Pfffft. Surely by this point it's clear that you lot could have a blocking sled at QB and still go 10-6.

These intros for TNF are an absolute abomination.

If we were going to have to do this colour rush would have much rather us go to the old school red uniform with the old Pat Patriots logo.

Well this is garbage from Houston.

Don't see how this offense is going to turn around 10 points, wasted opportunity tonight.

Still, at least I should be in bed by half time.

Well you won't see Brady do that very often....

Very impressed so far with Brissett, good start.

Osweiler is painful to watch, his job is simply to not fuck everything up. As great as the defence is, I don't think it'll ever be good enough to carry him against the best sides in the NFL.

Hopkins on the other hand.

And yeah, the Patriots are immune to injury this season apparently. They going to the Superbowl.

Yeah Brock is seriously stinking the place out tonight. Amazingly, had it not been for that damn fumble this would only be a 3 point game!

Not exactly BO'B's greatest coaching game either to be honest. Seemed extremely conservative.

The interception Osweiler threw was terrible, completely misread what was in front of him.

Other than that, am very pleased with that half by the Pats. Played a smart game. Long way to go, if Houston get the next score then they are well in this.

Agree, keeps insisting on giving the ball to Miller despite having no joy all night. That said, what else do you do with a QB that can't throw a football?

Can't believe I stayed up for this dud. The Texans always get embarrassed by the Patriots, should have known better.

More a case of embarrassing themselves tonight I think.

I'm loathe to be critical given how well the Pats have played but seriously Cyrus Jones needs to be put in the BB doghouse, he's fumbled a couple of punt returns now. It'll cost us at some point.

Like the variation Carel on the theme of is TFB a system QB discussion which has gained some legs lately :2thumb:

Tom Brady is a replacement level QB. Discuss.

Tom Brady, fraud.

I am starting to wonder if I could win a game as Pats' QB.

EDIT - The gods have spoken. Brissett has torn a thumb ligament. Give us Edelman vs Buffalo and let's destroy Brady's legacy.

At this point may as well see if Tim Tebow fancies 10 days off from his new baseball career/publicity stunt. Rolling with house money anyway and if we did win would pretty much seal BB's spot as coach of the year.

Funny how it all seems to crumble at the same time. Rodgers went down 3 years ago or so and we quickly went through Wallace, Tolzien and Flynn.
