The Emirates. One win in the league since 2006.

We will likely lose no matter how well we play or how bad they do. I will be very happy with a draw. Pisser of a fixture to start off with.

2-1.

Should be piss easy. If we can't beat a team with HOLDING + CHAMBERS as CB, NO OZIL, NO GRU, NO KOS (well he is shit imo) then I don't know what to say. At the minimum we should get a point there.

Then again...MIGNOLET will be our keeper and MORENO our LB. Not Klopp's squad until Karius is FIT!

As things stand Liverpool fans are optimistic and thinking that this season they can put up a challenge with Klopp having had time to bed in and no European distractions to get in the way. On the other hand Arsenal are going into the season without the striker signing they required for the past couple of seasons and without the centreback needed to bring in to partner Kos. With Gabriel and Mertesacker injured they're in a bad position defensively the fans are again frustrated at a lack of movement in the transfer market.
So naturally Arsenal will get a win and both sets of fans moods will swing the opposite way for a week.

This is pretty much my take on it as well. I'm really worried for our start of the season. It's the worst I can remember.

We will struggle with the opening fixtures. My concern is that by the time we hit some easy ones our confidence will be shot.

Arsenal love a dodgy start to the season to get the fans on Wenger's back and with the defence in the state it currently is I think Liverpool will get the win here.

Social media will be in meltdown if Liverpool win. Overly optimistic Klopp worshipping scouse contingent on one side and ArsenalfanTV going into meltdown with some meme worthy rants that get ManLikeRobbie 10,000 new subscribers on the other. Yin and Yangs I'd rather not see.

1-1 With us to take the lead through Mane then concede from a set piece late on.

I'm a subscriber to ManLikeRobbie :D I really hope we bag the win just to hear the meltdown on ArsenalFanTV alone. ;)

Liverpool do have tough opening fixtures but are in good shape so will give them a good go as long as Moreno and Mignolet don't fuck up in them!

Surely the question of what's wrong with the look of this forum is more pertinent.

3-0 Arsenal. We shave bullied Liverpool in recent seasons, same again here.

I would be very disappointed if "Kloppo's Boys" won't at least get a draw. A pity that Karius is out for some time. I see him in the not so distant future as #2 in the German Team behind Manuel Neuer.

I can't see Liverpool getting anything out of this.

2-0 Arsenal.

Liverpool don't have a great record away at Arsenal over the years, but with it being the first game, a bit of pessimism, uncertainty and a ravaged back line and strike force for them, I think Liverpool can get the win here.

3 - 1 to Liverpool

Not sure what to expect tomorrow. Arsenal can beat anyone on their day but haven't done anything this summer. Xhaka is a good, solid signing but no more than that. You seriously can't have Giroud as your main striker and expect to win the biggest trophies in football. He's a good striker, don't get me wrong, but he doesn't have that X factor and has too many games where he looks a bit of a donkey.

As for my 2nd team, Liverpool, I think the signings have been sensible. Mane on his day is terrific and could play in any other PL side. Klavan and Matip are solid and a better two than Skrtel and Toure last season. Wijnaldum is a strange one. There's no doubt he has quality and will score goals in a Liverpool shirt, but can't help but feel we didn't really need him and the money would have been much better spent on a quality left-back, someone that actually enjoys defending unlike Moreno. We also badly need a ball winner as Lucas is getting on a bit and Stewart not good enough for a first team place at this moment in time. I think Grujic will be a star but it might be the following season that he really makes a breakthrough.

Not sure how this will pan out today, with Arsenal's problems at the back you have to make Liverpool favourites but we never make it easy for ourselves.

I really rate that sexy bastard Giroud so him being out is handy. I fully expect to see Firmino start up top for Liverpool with Mane, Coutinho and Winjaldum behind him, though I'd like to see Origi start and have Firmino in Winjaldum's place.

2-1 Liverpool.
