You have had a pretty easy run of games in fairness; Morecambe, York and Newport aren't exactly going to be threatening the promotion places. Mansfield away has probably been our easiest match so far and Cambridge and Plymouth both ought to be right up there. Wimbledon on Saturday should be a more accurate judge of where we are at the moment...

Tut tut - you're not allowed to say that some runs of fixtures are easier than others on here. I found this out the hard way. Watch out for squealing Barnet fans.

I totally agree about the fixtures , which is why I'm not in "full gloat" mode hopefully we will get 4 points from the next 2 games cos I really can't see more than 4 or 5 points from September .... If the last few seasons have taught me anything then it is to get the points in the bag as soon as possible

Our easiest game so far on paper (Mansfield away) would probably be Hartlepool's most difficult had they played it too. Easy runs happen, we'll have ours at some stage, but I wouldn't be getting the title-winning victory parade organised just yet if I were a Hartlepool fan.

Last year you sent us to the bottom when you beat us , you'd need Snookers to do that this year .... I think if you looked at fellow Poolies posts on here you will find an expectation to runaway with the mid table this season

Yeah that was a great goal although Jervis is a complete nob off the pitch apparently so I'd rather it was someone else...

I'm surprised, I met him a few weeks ago (In Sainsbury's) of all places and he seemed a thoroughly decent bloke.

Maybe he's finally found a club he can settle at.

Just watched the full match (don't ask me why) and we were actually on top for the first 35-40 minutes, certainly in terms of possession and playing in plymouths half, but once Plymouth scored we absolutely capitulated and they took full advantage.

Strange game.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Its a worry if we do not win Saturday though.

I said bottom 5 in pre-season, I still expect a struggle as I feel the team on paper just isn't very good.

but one hope the last couple of games has been a show of fight, energy, work-rate, some passion...........stuff we've not seen in afew years at Carlisle. The quality isn't there, but spirit is.

my big worry at present is if we continue without wins and that morale drops.............then its well a lot more worrying.

but we need as people are saying to put players in correct positions, play proper wing-backs and play our best defenders.
