After Tuesday's muddled approach, and with news that Yiadom will be suspended, MA is hard at work on his selection and formation.

No Dembele as he's still out injured, so who knows what our defence will look like. Hoyte back to his usual spot and Nelson in would be the obvious option, so we'll probably see Champion back there with Clarke at right back and Batt down the right.

Mansfield are wobbling a little with only a win against Hartlepool to show for the last four games, the other three being defeats.

We're not much better with only a point from our last three, but we do still remain strong at home, so I would hope that if we play to our strengths, rather than worrying too much about our opponents, then we can get a result here.

I personally think that Mansfield Football Club will score more goals than Barnet Football Club and therefore win this game of football.

Barnet Football Club have some players that aren't good enough for this division in the English Football League and their manager decides to frequently play these players in positions on the football pitch that they are not used to playing in. Therefore it is obvious that Mansfield Football Club will win this match.

Mansfield may be higher in the table than us but when you look at who they have beaten it actually makes me think we are capable of a result.

I think they'll be feeling the absence of Rakishinho for this one.

Why? We only beat the teams down at the bottom end

We have been really really gash lately. We can't possibly perform as bad as we did Tuesday but after that I expect a few changes again. I would take a point as I always do away from home but I'm hoping our good away form continues and we can get all 3.

Try Batt at centre half instead of Nelson. He can use his physicality and pace and then can hoof it away. Boom. Genius.
He is the only Bat I know that is useless with a ball. I think we might see Kevin Lisbie and Nick Bailey this weekend

Out dodgy home form has been hidden by us actually being pretty alright away.

It'll be a game both sides think they could win - if we play well we certainly can, and I'm sure Barnet will think the same

When I look at your form I don't really see it the same way.
The good away form is based on beating Yeovil(24th), Daggers(22nd), Stevenage(20th), York(23rd) and a slow starting Notts County. While the home form includes creditable draws against Oldham, Oxford and Plymouth to go with good wins against Newport, Crawley and Hartlepool.

Do you always view everything in such a negative way?

I could have sworn Hoyte was a right back. Must be mistaken as he would surely have got in the team ahead of a right winger.

Our selection and tactics are reminding me of the end of Hendon's spell as manager.

That was a horrible game to be at.

At least 3 penalty shouts for handball, the first one was fucking obvious. Mansfield then go up and score.

Clarke commits 2 fouls all game, apparently both are yellows. Bullshit.

Westcarr dives in front of the whole west stand, laughs at the ref behind his back, gets nothing, then rightly (smartly) taken off.

The third goal being offside just as we were having a head of steam.

Akinde not starting.

Muggleton and Batt still being valid options in a league football team (not that they even performed poorly).

Weston being shit lately.

MA out? Perhaps.

Yep, that team selection was baffling yet again.
How on earth has Stacey made it as a professional footballer?!
Mansfield deserved to win because at least their forwards offered some movement up front whereas we were so predictable in our play.

Better team won and deserved to, We dominated and should of had more. Barnet didnt have a shot in the first half... very poor side.

I hope Vilhete doesn't get a copy of that game to watch. Not just because it would be a horrific Christmas present to receive, but I'd hate to see his reaction when he sees the performance of Stacey in his position.

Was watching a mate play for Nantwich town who beat Stockport 2-0 in the FA trophy so didn't see much of what went on.

Happy that we won, again, Barnets the type of side we can go to and win with confidence this season, to be 20 clear of relegation on November is remarkable. From what mates said we were the better side but that's from Mansfield fans so I accept there could be bias involved. Pleased that green scored again.

The decision for Clements didn't sound the best for the red card

As I've said repeatedly (and I believe I'm dead right) we need to show the same aspiration at home - and I truly hope Murray learned from Tuesday - we can go on from here.

Orient will be a big game

Loaning Vilhete out for that long was a bonkers decision. I think he has been incredibly hard done by.

No complaints about the result. We had a stonewall penalty a minute before the opening goal, but even then we were disjointed and chasing shadows in midfield. Mansfield passed the ball to a team mate, we lumped it to fight for it. At least when Akinde came on he gave the defence something to worry about.

It wasnt meant to be negative, just to say I felt you were underplaying your home form because you had played harder opposition at home than away.

Our home form is piss poor due to the fact that adam has found an excellent formula away but his tactics at home are abysmal - he sits defensively at home - gets hit by early goals from both Wycombe and Exeter and has no reply at all to it.

Whereas he should take into account the quality of the opposition we play at home, his approach at field mill is abysmal - he needs to be more adventurous

Just saw the highlights on sky, the 2nd yellow for Clements was ridiculous - he was blatantly fouled before he committed the foul. Shame to see kettle at his worst

Not that it made any difference to the result but Mansfield's third was blatantly offside and how on earth did Luke Gambin escape getting credited with the own goal?!

Mansfield were very good I thought, especially the front two whose movement and link up play was great to watch.

We were dire. Clueless approach and lacking any intent to even try to keep the ball and we were chasing shadows for most of the game. Our only spell came when Muggleton was brought on to chuck the ball into the box. Awful to watch but at least it was effective.

I didn't think we had any stonewall penalty shouts other than the one given. The first shout was unclear from the West Stand but even if it did hit his arm, it was certainly not deliberate.

Clarke was slightly unfortunate with his second yellow and think a final warning would have been a more sensible decision but it was a silly challenge to make in a non-threatening area when already on a yellow.

I've not seen us too much this season but what is apparent is that there is a massive gulf between Conference and L2 and I am not at all surprised that we are struggling.

Next two games will shape the rest of our season.

As "offside" as that Wimbledon goal?

Why doesn't Akinde start for you guys? It sounded like he caused us quite a few problems when he came on as a sub.

Who's playing the guy on? Bondz?
Interesting to see that the highlights give a very accurate snapshot of the two teams' very different playing styles!
