We really should have won up at Swansea, at a time when both us and them were a bit crap and struggling. We came away with a draw, and now we're both improved I suspect that will be the same outcome here. Both sides have taken significant strides towards safety recently, both need a few more points here and there to secure it. Neither side is going to take huge risks for the sake of it.

Hopfully Harry Arter is back and fit, he's so important for our midfield. Gosling did ok as a stand in at Newcastle but he isn't the same. Maxi Gradel is on fire since his return, and Josh King is also in great form. So we'll have a threat about us. But we've looked fairly decent at the back recently for the first time all season, I'm sure that can't continue long! A screw up or two is definitely due and everyone knows Sigurdsson is quality when he's in the mood.

Score draw written all over it for me.

Strange game, Swansea a strange side.

First 15 or 20 mins swansea looked all at sea, we could have been out of sight within that short time given the 5 good chances created and missed.

Swansea wake up from that crap period and with their first attack show sheer quality down the flank and do Daniels all ends up. First time that's happened in months. Daniels' challenge was a clear penalty for Swansea, missed by an inept all afternoon ref. Evens out the joke pen they had at home.

Then we take the lead with the first bit of composure we showed in the penalty area thus far, and of course it's Maxi Gradel. 10 points from 12 since his return, it's no coincidence he is superb.

Immediately Swansea equalise before we'd even finished celebrating. Again down their right / our left. Nice finish through a crowd of players.

First half ends with swansea with their tales up and us quite glad to get in level, despite on chances having enjoyed so many clear openings. Both sides with areas to work on.

Second half, again Swansea start with their defensive players asleep / struggling. With some help from Fabianski who dropped a bollock at his near post, and it's another of our recent attacking catalysts with a deserved goal - Josh King.

Swansea woke up again, they brought on a big bloke in Gomis and it transformed their attacks into something more cutting. Sure enough Sigurdsson smacks it in from the edge of the box.

And after that Swansea looked more likely to go on and win it. They were enjoying everything going their way from the ref who presumably attempted to make up for his earlier error, and we struggled to get near Gomis.

That was of course, until we won it! Marc Pugh came on and proved decisive in holding that flank and injecting energy. He setup Josh King who's shot was palmed out for a corner. And then, WHAT a ball from Ritchie, absolute perfection onto Steve Cook's head. 3-2.

And then the game died down, we did an excellent job seeing it out, all Swansea's huff and puff ran out.

That is surely safety assured now. Wrapped up before our tough run of games which earlier in the season looked worrying. Little did we think back then, just how much we'd improve from December onwards.

Maybe that was a shade harsh on Swansea, but their defensive lapses always gave them a tough job. We're lucky to have so many in form attacking options though, we're a genuine handful currently.

We can hopefully approach the likes of Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea with some confidence and relaxation.

The burst of 'swing low' at the end was hilarious.

Cracking game of football, some very suspect defending from both sides but it was great to watch.

I wish I knew why, every year without fail we can barely kick a ball in February but become world beaters in March. It's nothing but bizarre but also inevitable. 3 wins in a row ahead of a tough period should see us safe. an excellent achievement considering the injuries we've had

It's not even halfway through March and Bournemouth are all but safe - that's a remarkable job from Howe, especially when it's been done without their main talisman Wilson. I hope a big club take a chance on him because he deserves a shot.
