Saturday's fixtures -
Aldershot v Woking
Altrincham v Chester
Barrow v Gateshead
Boreham Wood v Braintree
Bromley v Eastleigh
Guiseley v Grimsby
Kidderminster v Cheltenham
Lincoln v Halifax
Macclesfield v Tranmere
Torquay v Forest Green
Welling v Dover

Some good games in there without too many top of the table clashes. For us, hoping for a repeat 3 points in the away leg of the derby before the return a week later.

Merry Christmas non-leaguers, hope you all have a good one.

It's not a derby FFS. You're just a bunch of insignificant inbreds from across the border who we have the misfortune of temporarily sharing a league with. Merry fucking Christmas.

Ah I forgot.. your guys HUGE rivalry is with Reading isn't it? I'm sure Reading fans are really interested in a team 3 leagues below who they haven't played in 25 years.

Bit like yours and Stevenage, who you've played what, twice?

(my post was joke by the way).

Weather forecast of pissing it down = We're away to Alty, on that naff open away end. Literally every single time.

Due a win against them really, our last three efforts against them have been embarrassing. Bit more confident following the win against Torquay last week, we're definitely a different proposition than they faced last time with more support for Hannah nowadays. But Moss Lane has always been a bit of bogey ground for us.

Typically Southport have decided to.improve just before we play them. Still our record against then is pretty solid and our home form is generally good so hoping for three points.

Beevers sits out the final game of his ban, which is a relief because Bush has had a handful of games at LB this season and has been woeful in 3 or 4 of them. Adequate cover at CB but that's it. He was that bad at LB on Monday night that he was taken off at HT and a 4th choice CM was put there instead and did a better job.

They'll be 5 or 6 changes from the Trophy game. Expecting Rhead to return and do a Van Basten this week.

No real derby for us in this league, so it'll probably feel like just another game for us.
I liked the look of the Gateshead team at the start of the season but it seems they haven't set the world alight. We're still carrying a few injuries, but the two league results since Cox took over show there's a bit more backbone to his Barrow side. I'd expect a win on Saturday and would hope for a draw away on Jan 2.

We start our Double header with Tamworth on Boxing Day.

Our rock bottom confidence levels will be helped by the fact we have already beaten Tamworth in FA Cup Qualifying. Praying for a repeat but cant see it coming. However if a defeat means the end of Law id take it.

Tamworth was our Christmas Fixture back in 2011/12. We won the home game 5-2 and drew at their place 2-2. No chance of that this time. Although we do have a ridiculously good record against the Lambs. Something like just 4 defeats in 19 games.

There aren't any stand-out games in this list that look pivotal to how the season turns out, but a number of localish clashes, where there is potential for a feisty game.

Rovers can't afford to lose to Macc in either game to keep any slim chance of the play-offs alive. I actually think it may prove harder for us to get a result on Wirral than at the Moss Rose, but wouldn't stake my life savings on us getting anything from either. As highlighted on the support thread, this game is no longer all-ticket for Tranmere fans, due to poor sales, indicative of how Brabin is dragging our club down.

We will take 2 points from 9 over xmas brabin will find an excuse like the grass is too long or we were blinded by the blueness of maccs shirts, palios being too nice to be a football chairman will give him the benefit of the doubt as he did with adams last year, we will pick up 9 points from the next 11 games just like the previous 11, we will lose to chester which will cost me a fiver to the site , then we will be relegated to conf north. Brabin will resign as palios still hasnt got the bottle to sack him.

When the position is advertised Ancelotti, del bosque, klopp and guadiola all apply but palios goes with nicholson from torquay as he has experience at this level , this turns out to be as inspired as the edwards , adams, brabin choices.

Dave challonor who should be our manager leads fylde to the football league and jim harvey another tranmere legend takes fax up in the play offs...... Palios redevelops another bar at the ground .... For future profits to invest.

Im not used to being off on a wednesday!!

We do have a derby in this league but they bottled it a little while back. So we have to relinquish our bitter rivalry with Guiseley this year.

Looking forward to Altrincham. As Blue and White said our best player is getting some assistance these days. Altrincham are a bit like Woking. We never seem to turn up against them and that Sparrow is such an irritating knob. At least when we lose to Alty it's soon forgotten and Alty fans are quite decent.

Are Tranmere really that bad? I've a horrible feeling they're gonna completely hammer us on Saturday.

Well you beat us, then we beat them 4-2 at their place. So take from that what you will.

Yeah there are worst teams than tranmere, they have some good players they are just disorganised and demoralised at the moment. Great time to play them.
