I know we've been in good form, but I still expected more from Wrexham today. We should have scored more in the first half, and even when Wrexham pressed later on in the match all they had was a long diagonal ball to the edge of the penalty area from which they hoped to pick up the second ball. I suspect they may give a different account of themselves next week, but with the way we're playing we've got nothing to fear.

Anyone know how Woking got on today?

We didn't just 'win', we won our sixth game from our last seven.

Make way for the Woking FC Play-Off Juggernaut.

How did your boys get on today? :woot:

Just think where you might be had Woking not ended your nine-game unbeaten run! :woo:

Can we play you every week? :sb:

For the stat fans. Today was our 50th away win in Conference North. Tamworths first home defeat of the season and this means we have lost just 4 times against the Lambs in 20 meetings. Not bad!!. The good thing is we are playing them again soon.

To be fair, that table is massively skewed as we'd had hardly any local games (including Aldershot) and you've been near the top all season. Our final average has always been better than yours.

Haha! :brill:

I imagine we'd be 2nd still, only 4 points behind though.

No surprise that I was delighted by the game today. Each game we go unbeaten helps us take the following one freshly and full of confidence. Whenever our next loss will come I'm sure the reality our situation will hit again, but for now we're closing in on the 20th spot. In Harvey's five league games we've gained 11 points, opposed to 10 points in the previous 20 games. We'd be 24th if we'd allowed things to continue of course, but taking things a game at a time has lifted the players and the fans. It's also the first time this season that we've won by a single goal. OH YEAH and our first clean sheet in the league since a 0–0 at Alty in March.

Difficult, tense game throughout. Spent a good 20+ minutes getting over the easterly wind. If Lincoln could have been more clinical, they could have also had one or two players sent off, as they were a petty lot off the ball. Conversely we played the clock down a bit, but no-one can complain when Rhead is forever stalking your goalkeeper.

The goal was a fine product of the luck we were creating for ourselves. We tried to get a toe onto every ball, and one of those culminated in Sam Walker stabbing it in faster than anyone else could react. Lincoln arguably dominated until then but only in possession by my reckoning, but following the goal they opened up a bit as they hunted for an equaliser, which afforded us several good chances.

We really had that extra yard today and I think the players will still be aching like hell on Monday. I wonder what the weather will be up to.

It was nice to have a good crowd watching us too. Good atmosphere from the modest Town following, and especially enjoyable to see several #ImpsUltras sheepishly put their tops back on after we scored.

You mean Lincoln's mad corner?, bizarre lot, they just seem to jump up and down a lot doing the old Soccer AM 'Easy' chant motion, without actually chanting it.

They change it to a good old net pull if they're behind the goal at an away game though in fairness.

By the way, worst Aldershot side Garry Hill has ever seen, probably. :fl:

My god we were awful. We gifted Southport the 3 points today. I can take losing and bad performances but the players showed absolutely no effort, urge or fight. Cowards the lot of them today, bar Taylor.

Well done Torquay United. Love it when those dirty bastards get beat.

I'm beginning to develop a real hope that the Gulls can survive and stay up this season. When you played and beat us early last season we were lucky to get nil. You were the best team we played and we thought you'd win the league before your 'problems' set in. I'm booked in the Torcroft for our game in Feb. See you then.

A similar lack of effort tomorrow would be apppreciated.

Incredible turn around. And fair does the better team won today.

We need to improve a lot before the new years game.

Always had a soft spot for Southport. They beat Lincoln City in 1975 under a certain Graham Taylor in the last game of the season which enabled us to gain our first ever promotion by a hundredth of a goal (goal average, not goal difference in those days). The following season Lincoln City walked the old Division 4, so we did them a favour really. Happy days.

Similar to me. Can't stand fake premier league football. Supported them since I was 10 years old(when we werescrapping in relagation battles). Still feels weird being favourites against some ex league clubs!

You're welcome on Deva Chat B2TF, although a couple of our moderators want moderating off.

I don't post on any of our club forums. Though you're seemingly obsessed with me, not sure whether to feel flattered or creeped out. Hobbies appear at a premium in Halifax then.
