The pitch wasn't playable.
Nothing to do with the emergency services.

I don't care what that article reads, there was no standing water on the pitch, and the ball was most definitely rolling when I was there just after half nine.

This was called off on police advise due to numerous issues around the City yesterday. Imagine the club coming out and stating that this is the real reason as to why it's been postponed, and as much as it was the right decision, there will have been a lot of unhappy City fans who COULD have attended the fixture.

In all honesty, its a postponed game of football, its far more important that those poor souls in the flooded areas get the help and support they need than us having our entertainment.
