I love the updates on the progress guys, but someone needs to speak with the contractors as they have put some really weird looking goals on the pitch.......

Good work V. I believe the temporary floodlights and camera platform are being taken out imminently and the pitch moved another 2.5M so we will get an idea of the final look soon.
I wonder if we are getting poxy 'racing' style seats in the new dugouts and when the Atyeo tunnel is being removed? Anyone know?
That West stand looks awesome from pitch level, really impressive.

There's one decent El Abd in Bristol and it isn't the footballer Tom! ;) His brother played for Bris and was really good but injury curtailed his career.
That said, it might be Aaron.
Well I never knew that! Adam looks more of a rugby player than football tbh.

He certainly plays like an egg chaser Tom as he ain't no footballer. His brother was really very good but buggered his knee really badly. Real England material, he was genuinely THAT good!

Heading to Taunton to watch the 'shire, but won't be watching Klinger bat thanks to a Sunday train service and the fact he's just lost his wicket.

Just went past the Gate though, and that north stand dominates the skyline even from that distance. I'll try and get a picture on the way home.

We've done two, redeveloped one, and just left the Atyeo (away end). Can't redevelop it because of the houses behind, but Steve Lansdown (our owner) has his eye in for all of them, he's trying to get hold of them to knock 'em down and enable us to rebuild the Atyeo.

Aye saw that you were doing that during your promotion season, new stand looks really well. Think we have a similar problem with developing Hillsborough with there being a lot of houses behind the Leppings Lane end, would probably need buying out.

Love the pics and your football club but we differ on cricket. We nearly blew it but get the f**k in there Cidermen! :brill:

Being a pedant, it's the West stand that dominates fella, the North stand is the Atyeo isn't it?
EDIT: This is quality...

Born and bred in north Bristol I'm afraid. My Grandad was brought up in Bedminster though, so made sure my Dad supported the right team, who in turn made sure I supported the mighty reds. I'm very lucky otherwise I could have ended up a fan of the blue few.

I'm with you V, Gloucestershire due to the side of Bristol I've been brought up.

Going to the blast game next Friday against Somerset at the CG, should be a cracker.

Anyway, without derailing the thread me and a few mates are on about going to watch the England game next Saturday down on the big screen at AG, so I'll get a few snapshots if I do.

Same here bud, I'm a 'Woody but my old man was a red, luckily. He took me to Taunton in the late 70's to watch Richards, Botham, Roebuck, Garner etc and my loyalties have been with them ever since. I thought you had us yesterday I must admit.
As an aside, I'm wondering if we should move our transfer chat to this thread as Walkley seems to be unhappy with the amount of City stuff in the transfer thread. What do you lot think?

I had tickets for the T20 Somerset game, but I'm flying to Toronto that day, so sold it at face value to a friend of a friend. I've seen him play for the Windies before anyway.

Excellent.

Fair enough. It's a lot easier for me to watch the 'shire than Somerset so wasn't a hard decision. Plus, you know, we don't tend to bottle the finals we're in ;)

My Dad enjoyed his cricket but never took me to a game for some reason, and the same goes for the rugby.

I've always considered this the unofficial City thread. If there's something I see that would only interest City fans I've put it in here, instead of potentially annoying the rest of the forum.

Good idea Tim! Who knows...it may even deter that nauseating Rotherham c*** from commenting on anything City-orientated...

He's having an enforced break until July, after his comments the other day.

Edit - happy to move our transfer runours to this thread. Will change the title if needs must.
