Grew up in Southmead, lived in Easton and ST George for the last four years pretty much and prefer it over this side. Gloucester for the cricket and been to see them a few times.

This is like Jehovah trying to recruit in an aetheist covention Aber. I'm from Kingswood and drank in the Archers and the flower pot but you haven't asked me as you know the answer would be 'FOOK RIGHT OFF'! Yellow card mate, yellow card!! :sna:
As you're on OUR thread, I reckon you might be on the turn yourself TBH. :fish:

Path of what??? Horse punching? Goal keeper assaulting?
Was this you? It's caused OTIB to nearly crash through laughter...

I honestly believe we are now on the same level again as City apart from them having a new stadium built and playing one level above us for one more season.Remember, just over a year ago they were just leaving the div we are 're- entering, yet them across the river always act as if they are Man Utd and we are Stockport! The "gap" that they have gone on about is down to us failing to move forward as a club rather than there growth.

However Bristol Rovers FC is now a very different beast to the one that failed for so many years...We have the best set of players I can remember, our best ever manager in charge and a very rich... however very humble, very ambitious new set of owners that want to take us to the stars.

I will be AMAZED if in 5 years time we are not playing in a new stadium in front of our largest consistent crowds ever being at least top half championship club.If City can be at that level in 5 years time,or even above that then fair play to them, but for the first time ever we as a football club can aim as high as we desire and need to focus purely on ourselfs.

Beautiful contradiction there!

I didn't like to mention that in case it was you!
Agree with the 'we're level even though your ground is a disgrace up to ours and you're a division behind'?
Course not, I'm not deluded! I just want us to have another positive season with some progress on the stadium. Perhaps one day we can have our derby back in the same division but that's a way down the road yet.

Barrs Court, no you don't!
We're posh as fook around here. ;)
David, I have never lived in the 'City of Bristol' mate. Never have and probably never will.

I agree about Norn Iron but the 'Woods alright, not that I live there anymore. :tw:
Not Bristol but from Wells so got to be close to winning at least

On a cricket note, played at Bedminster's ground for the first time this evening, nice little 6 wicket win to see us through the the 1/4 finals of our T20 cup :2thumb:

I was in the Kings Head (the swamp?) on two mile hill when it was the Playoffs against hull. Safe to say there were a few taunts in my direction when windass scored.

Ah the 'Swamp'. The only place you can stagger out of without having a drink!!
Never a fan of the place TBH, a 'wipe your feet on the way out' boozer IMHO. A couple of people I genuinely can't stand call it 'home' so I tend to give it a wide berth.

Can't stand the place, I was 12 at the time, and my mum and her partner at the time (an utter c bomb of the highest order) were regulars there. Few hours every night minimum, which meant I was there quite a lot

12 in 2008? This makes me feel old.
