Just wondering, guys - how does your owner run things?

I realise he has an umbrella company, Bristol Sports, with individual sporting businesses under that - of which the FC is but one.

How does the financing of your new stand impinge on the different sporting entities?

Going for rugby posts rather than goals?

Typical "big" team, thinking they can come down here and do what they like.

WTGR, it's a lot more than a new 'stand' Dan. Two totally new ones, plus massive refurbs of the other two, of which one (the Dolman stand) has already started.
Anyway, the stadium is now under the ownership of Bristol Sport so it has no bearing on the finances of Bristol Rugby or ourselves.
Steve Lansdown, as the owner of Bristol Sport, is footing the bill at no cost to any of us.

City fans - I am aware there is a reduced away allocation this season. With the Dolman Stand soon being reduced I understand, will this further impact the away offering?

So, do you essentially pay rent to Bristol Sport as a tenant?

Or do you get it for free

The Dolman has already been reduced John. The lower tier is already half down. It doesn't have much impact on capacity though as temporary exits are going in enabling us to open the end blocks of the Dolman which we haven't been able to use this season.
The away allocation remains at 1100.

I see Ciderup, fair enough. Going to be a nervy one trying to get myself tickets for that, missing the match is unthinkable at this stage with the table as it is.

I would be surprised if it isn't moved for TV TBH John. I would seriously advise any of your fans NOT to try for 'home' tickets for obvious reasons. Our tickets will be hard to get as well FWIW.

If it isn't not a complete sell out of the tickets available then it will be poor tbh, both clubs are flying at the moment

Moved to earlier the same day? I would have thought the Friday matches prevent a Sunday kick off but I may be wrong. I don't mind if it is moved for TV, as long as it is not an early kick off.

I don't think our fans will have a chance of home tickets - it will be difficult enough for non-ST holding home supporters I would assume.

Indeed it will be John. It's bad enough for a normal game. I try to get tickets for my dad and it can be troublesome at times this season.
We have to factor the rugby into any movement as well as it's their home as well. They had a crowd of 10,500 the other week so fair play to them.

Given it's a Monday, there are no blackouts. It could be on TV at 3pm alongside the other games without a problem.

Of course Tommy, it's Easter Monday.
No egg chasing that weekend so it could be moved easily! Any idea when sky announce their games for April?

The L1 forum died out pretty fast on 1FF. I mainly use it for the prediction league now!

That site used to be good back in the day. Seemed to slowly detiriate. Used to love the banter with the Plymouth fans. God that was a while back now!

do you think a stand will be named after Colin Daniel, he should be at least on the bench in a couple of weeks time when we come to Ashton Gate, hope he gets raucous reception and you let him score as a gesture of goodwill

The bloke will get a heros welcome, and definitely a standing ovation if he's subbed on!

i think it,s hilarious we would be the same if someone scored to send Stoke down one day but obviously to non-league makes it all the sweeter for you. He generally gets on and has scored some important goals this season for us though none will ever be as important in your eyes as ' that goal ' . i reckon he,ll be buzzing if he gets on.

Sir Colin wiĺl get a standing ovation for services to football and well deserved. He has already been presented with a medal and cherebaum of champagne from City fans at the game at your place. The non league fans threatened Scott Murray who did the presentation so no pics were ever seen!
