Yeah I know, was just a case of you quoting my one. I've had the thrill of 7 hour journey's before, so minus 45 mins from Bristol to where I live still a good 6 hours plus of motorway. Had 3 or 4 trips recently where they were all 6 hours plus leaving at different times in the day.
Same here bud. I did the Oldham game last season and it took over 6 hours then did the Preston one the following week, left at 8 to be sure of making it and was sat outside the ground at 11-15!
Awful journey to be fair.

I did Oldham the season before, having said that for me it just took the hour and a half or so

What's the point? Really?

I see Bennett is being linked with Blackburn on a permanent deal. This club is beyond a joke. It's been a long long time I've felt this low being a city fan. And after our most successful season, only we could make such a mess of things.

A bit more than 'linked' according to Sky Dave. Fee and terms agreed and the first half of his medical completed.
Take your boots if you're gong on Saturday, you'll probably end up playing!

RefWatch; Ref for City v Preston is James Linington, 37, a plumber from the Isle of Wight. FL ref since '08. Had trials at a couple of clubs as a kid, but was shit so became a ref. In a recent interview he said that he 'only feels satisfied if I get 22 handshakes at the end of the 90 minutes' (just like his mum).
City have a very poor record with him (D1 L5, scored just 4 & conceded 14), last three games being the 3-0 home loss to Leeds in the Championship in Feb 12 (he sent off Wilson & Bolasie); 3-1 away defeat to Brentford (4Y) in Jan '14 & 3-1 away defeat to Luton in the League Cup in August last year. Reffed Preston 3 times (W2 L1); 2-1 away win at Leicester in '09 (3Y); 4-1 loss away to Reading in '10 (4Y); & 1-0 away win at Gillingham in Oct '14 (1Y).
Home win % is 50%. In 22 games this season he has given 65 Y & 3 R - low, which is just as well for dirty, dirty Preston who have 5R & 48Y, one of the highest in the league.

AnagramWatch; James Linington = Molesting Ninja
Steve Cotterill = Testicle Revolt.

As it stands, we will only have 2 (yes TWO) substitutes as we now have 13 fit, first team squad players left at the club.
Just turn up PNE, that's all you have to do at the moment.
What the FOOK is happening to my club? :sna:

Erm, setting off about 2ish I think. I finish work at 12:45 and I think my mate finished at 1:30 so will go straight from there probably.

You might well catch the Bristol rush hour then Tom. It's pretty bad and could well hold you up once you pass the M4 / M5 interchange. Bear that in mind.

I assume all signings have to be completed by midday on Tuesday to play? Isn't that the usual deal? Ho-hum.

See this is the sort of game where we won't turn up and we'll get beat.

Callum Robinson.... if he starts for you next Tuesday and completes the full match, will he have played more minutes on the Ashton Gate pitch for Preston than he did for us? He'll score all five himself in a drubbing and do the robot in Cotterill's face after every one.

Feeling so low about my club at the moment that I actually made a new years resolution to stop following games. This utter shambles has been the final straw for me and proof that as a club we will never do anything because the people in charge are absolute morons. Last season was great and all but once we get to this level, its the same old mistakes time after time after time.

I just haven't been able to let go through and no doubt ill be up at some godforsaken hour listening to this crap. 0-1. Cunningham last minute winner.

Forgot we got Greg from you boys. The lads class. Where ever we have played him he has been consistently fantastic. Left back, one of 3 center backs, LWB.

Inspired signing and got to be up there for one of our best performers this season. Cheers Steve :10:

Don't know why I read PNE Online. Some fans slating the signing of Robinson.

He's a risk free signing and a much better option when playing 2 off Garner than Doyle. And Robinson has shown a few glimpses of class about him in his first spell. Work your magic Grayson

Was pretty average in his second spell with us in League One and he uses up a loan slot which could have been filled by a proven Championship player. Hardly a thrilling signing, will give him a chance but i'm not expecting him to be anything more than an impact player off the bench.

Grayson loves an average striker mind.

Pretty sure Garner & Beckford bagged 45 goals between them last season, bit better than average i'd say.

Nope, a Westley scattergun signing, did nothing for us until Grayson got hold of him.

If we don't sign another attacking player I'll be disappointed myself. I'm also not thrilled by it. But fans righting him off is a bit daft. And I do expect us to bring in another striker. Or the sudden return of Beckford :)

There is potential there somewhere and like I said we did see glimpses,in his first spell. Let's hope the lads plays himself into a contract

The LEP reckons we're after signing him on a permanent in this transfer window, we just went for the loan first to secure him for the season.

I'm going to see this one, hopefully we'll win. TBH if we don't then we might end up in a bit of trouble come the end of the season...

Every single one of their posters on here are fucking mind-numbing, repeating the same essay about their manager and chairman whenever their name pops up in any thread. Hate Crewe.

Tbf, it must be bloody depressing being a Crewe fan of late, but yeah their match threads used to be a great cure for insomnia

3-0 Preston - Cunningham, Kilkenny and Robinson to score.

Someone's probably done the exact same post already but I cba to check until we make signings and I feel slightly more positive.
