We have been found wanting about the good sides and we've been pummelled in both. Well done City, enjoy winning the league. I fear away to Preston! Hey ho, alcohol helps! :)

I was only joking when I said at half time city would go one step more than MK and win 4-0. Come town, prove me wrong and hold onto this 3-0!lol

Aden Flint was pretty honest about hoping Swindon don't go up in his interview :fl:

Think the better team lost tonight, 3-0 absolutely flattered Bristol City. We dominated proceedings for large parts of that game, and had we had some sort of cutting edge up front, we'd have probably won the game. I've said it before and I'll say it again but that's what separates ourselves and City; the latter have the ability and know-how to score goals and win, even when they aren't playing particularly well, a true indication of champions. You can play the prettiest football in the world (and tonight we've played some lovely stuff, Branco aside) but if you don't take your chances and score goals then ultimately the style of football on show means very little. They were clinical tonight, putting away three of the few opportunities they created while we dominated possession and failed to make the most of the 10-15 chances we produced.

I said I'd be happy if we went there and put in a performance and we've exactly done that and hopefully proven to some people that Saturday was nothing more than a bad day at the office. I'll take solace in that, and hope the squad do too as we turn our attentions to the play-offs and trying to build some momentum going into them.

Wow! Its 4:30am here in China but im freaking buzzing! Utterly delighted.

Im not one to troll, but given the bad blood caused by the incidents at the county ground in november, what could possibly be better cumuppance than this? A 3-0 win that all but secures promotion for us whilst finally ending their own chances. Its just pure poetry. I love football sometimes. For the mongs that threw coins at me and my dad outside the county ground last season, this is for you!

Anyway with my sensible head back on, unlucky Swindon. I think all level headed city fans will appreciate that 3-0 doesnt tell the full story. You were in control for large parts of the game and your central midfield is very impressive indeed. Wouldnt mind a cheeky bid for any of them in the summer!

That showed why we're both where we are in the league. Swindon played the better football but we were resilient, held out under the pressure and were mich more clinical. Had a fair bit of luck as well, scoreline massively flatters us, but who gives a shit, we won 3-0 all that matters.

Right I'm off to get pissed.

Interviewer: As a former Swindon player, do you want them to come up with you?

Flint: (with a look of disgust) no.

Love it!!!!
Obviously. Would have been pretty retarded of him to say yes.

Congrats City. Hey-ho, not surprised, but still disappointed. Fair play to Flint for his honesty, he's still a c*** though!
Regarding the coin throwing, don't try and make out it is one way. I have a mate at the game tonight who has had his match ticket payed for by the amount of coins thrown at him by city fans.

True. We had the possession but City had the goals. I know what I would prefer!
I said as much in my initial post-match post. Almost certainly the sign of a title-winning side.

Dominating games and playing pretty football ultimately means nothing when we come away with 0 points.

Bristol City were clinical tonight, and showed why they're top. Deserve to go up as champions, and their squad depth is unbelievable. Tavernier would be a starter for most clubs in this division, as would JET.

Swindon played nice football and dominated possession. No surprise as some of their midfielders are Championship level.

Bristol City to be joined by Preston in the autos, and MK Dons in the play offs.

Fair point, I remember a number of incidents over the years that have helped towards dislikes for a number of clubs and players.

You did, but we still had numerous close calls. Gladwin forced a brilliant save, we hit the bar and the post. Tight margins which eventually decided the game.

We took the game to City tonight. Expected us to lose but the performance was tenfold better than Saturday.

We need to use our final games to work out our best team and how to be more effective against teams parking the bus like City second half.

We have no excuse for not being well drilled and ready for the play offs now. In many ways we are entering our own mini season.
