I think it's telling that Lincoln seemed to be the only team who have come to Barrow and attempted to play football - the first 5 mins you were passing about, as we all like to see. Braintree (under Cowley) tried the same at the end of last season and got trounced too.
We seem to be able to cope with that sort of threat better than the likes of Southport, who didn't even attempt to play football and came away with a win.

Oh dear. We're fucked then.

Simpson do coaching??? Bullying and swearing is his forte! Got sacked from here in 2006 for doing that under Keith, then we go and re-employ as manager in 2013!
On us not our usual selves last night at all, missed Habergham(only left footer currently), didn't compete and looked tired and leggy.
As much as I've enjoyed the fa cup its time to bow out at the weekend.

Not seen this mentioned anywhere else on the forum but all the games on the last day of the season will kick off at 12.15 so that they can be covered by BT. I don't envy the Dover fans having to get to Barrow for such an early kick off

been spotted that there's engineering works on the line between barrow & lancaster that day,so now impossible to get to barrow by train before ko

The good news is when it becomes the playoff to get into the playoffs it will probably be on TV

Would there not be a rail replacement bus? There usually is.
I wouldn't envy anyone making that journey by train though! Charter a flight to Walney airfield.

copied form our forum---
Been looking at train travel to Barrow and at the moment there seems to be engineering work on part of the line between Lancaster and Barrow that weekend which means not being able to arrive into Barrow until 12.23pm.

Brilliant, another local derby on TV. Seriously, clubs need the big gates from local derbies. With the North Wales and Cheshire Police's handling of games between Tranmere/Chester/Wrexham (especially the bubble), do they not realise that they are hurting these clubs?
Given the Police behaviour last time, this could put a huge dent in our away support at that game. It's too much hassle when it's on TV. Likewise Chester on Friday, which we only sold our allocation for today.

Can't beat a genesimmons BT Sport rant.

Gateshead not being on BT Sport has nothing to do with their soulless athletics stadium having seats 3 miles from the pitch, apparently. SOUTHERN BIAS. Explains why Licoln are on so much.

And when they do show gateshead (once every 2 year) they cant even get facts right and were biased against them. The ex chairman has even complained about them ignoreing club.

Just remember the stadium meets criteria for the current league and theres far worse decaying grounds in division ive been to a few. Who do you support by the way

I don't get the whinging about BT Sport selections. If you're pushing for the title, you'll be featured. If you're fighting relegation you'll maybe get on towards the end of the year. If you're playing someone who's going for promotion, you might get on. If you're the dictionary definition of mid-table mediocrity (I'm looking at Gateshead, and ourselves until this year) you'll hardly ever be on. Simple really.

..and if you're Tranmere you'll be on because none of the PL armchair fans have heard of any of the other clubs in the division.

Don't you know anything?EVERYBODY has heard of Lincoln.

Seriously Belmont makes a valid point, about the loss in finances by moving fixtures like our trips to Chester and Wrexham. Not sure the amount we get paid for being on BT is enough to compensate.

We will still sell out for Wrexham unless our season has collapsed by then.

£6k (home) and £1k (away), I think.

I think Clubs can refuse to be on. I know we've refused in the past, not just because of the timing of the game but because what you get for a game doesn't necessarily cover the loss of ticket sales.

It is not just the loss of gate income that is an issue. The atmosphere at derby games that are moved to midday is terrible, and you lose all the build-up and anticipation you would have for a 3pm kick off. We will sell out at Wrexham, but the home fans won't turn out in numbers. Likewise, when we played them at Prenton Park at 12 o'clock in October we might as well have been playing Guiseley for the lack of atmosphere in the ground.

All that said, I am thrilled we are at Chester on Friday. Everyone knows Friday night is Tranmere night........

Lincoln far and away the best side in the division this year, so no complaints about them getting on a lot. People should enjoy watching them while they still can. You wont be seeing a Cowley managed side at this level again after this season.

Tranmere are the biggest club, so can see why they get on a lot. BT need to put games on that people might want to watch.

Btw never had a problem with Gateshead, it's better then a lot of grounds in this league.
