Excellent, back on our travels. Looking forward to this, it's been ages since I've stood on a proper terrace. Cracking ground is the Pirelli.

Well, be interesting to see how we're looking injury wise. Hopefully LDV and Kingsley aren't out and can play. Jones and Ray probably won't be available for selection until Saturday. If I was Davis, I would pull Jones out of the U21s game and start him in this game. King and Atkinson are stealing a living at the moment and both need dropping. Start Jones alongside Fox, Inman and Wilson out wide and Haber and LDV(fitness depending upfront). If LDV is injured, put Colclough in instead.

As for Burton, they've hit the buffers a little bit of late. 2 defeats in 2, 6 conceded and none scored. Has their after promotion momentum died off? Haven't scored 1 on merit in their last 4 as well. Still got some tidy players though. Beavon is a decent striker at this level, the wide men Duffy, El Khayati and Akins are all handfuls.

I'll be honest, I'm hopeful we can get a result here. All 6 of our away games, we've been in them and had chances to get results out of the ones we've lost. 3 unbeaten on the road, only conceded 3 in our last 4, which is pretty good for us. Obviously Burton are pretty decent at home, but then Barnsley had a decent record before we rocked up. We'll probably play pretty shoddily and be get dominated for large parts of the game, but hopefully we can grab something here. I'm going for an optimistic 1-1 draw.

Would have been looking forward to going to this if weren't having such a bad season.

Can see us putting in a stronger performance but still losing.

Our away form is title winning level so gotta fancy our chances at this neat but decidedly National League venue.
C'mon You Reds!

2 weeks ago I would say a home bank certainty. Now I'm not sure.
We can't score.
Expect them out the traps early on Tuesday to get early goal to build on. If that happens we win 2 0. If not, can see us losing 0 1

Love Burton, they are a club that has done things the right way and worked their way up rather than buy their way up *cough* Fleetwood *cough* Crawley *cough* Stevenage. The fact they are top 6 is incredible.

As for the game.........I hope we win. But if we don't and Burton win, I hope Burton win 8 nil, get Davis out of our club quicker. :gr:

Love the ground, bought my ticket the day they went on sale.

Confused by the criticism of Atkinson in the first post.

Could be quite an intresting game, one team from near the top and the other near the bottom. Not sure which was it'll go.

Really? I don't think he touched the ball in the 2nd half against Barnsley and I'd be interested to know what he did in the 70 minutes he was on against Gillingham. Other than blaze a presentable chance over the bar? Edit, sorry, forgot his defensive error which almost allowed McDonald to score.

When he's on the ball, he looks like a relatively capable player, but he doesn't get involved anywhere near enough. He's been a passenger in the last 2 games and he needs dropping. Now I've said that, he'll score tomorrow.

Atkinson is just another player making a living in League One on the back of the club's complete lack of interest in ambition and progress. He's one of a few of our apparent first teamers who wouldn't be given a contract at any other League One club but relative to the only other option our club pretends to have (y'know, after discounting decent players who aren't value for money), he's decent.

Anyway, this game is probably the typical flukey 1-0 Tuesday night win that will keep Davis ticking over.

Tend to agree with Bartonyellow regarding the game. JFH will not be happy after Saturdays 2nd half nightmare at Fleetwood, I expect a couple of changes such as Naylor and Joachim starting and maybe a return for Camsdell-Sherriff at the back. If we put it together I fancy us here but if we are not at the races Crewe could sneak a 1-0.
Nice to here Crewe fans like so many others looking forward to the terraces ! As my name suggests I love them too and can't wait for the German safe standing to be introduced and all-seater grounds done away with. Away fans never sit down anyway do they ?

Not a cat in hell's chance we'll have that many there (try 350) or that they'll even top 3K.

With us having Vale at home on Saturday many will pick that game over Crewe on a Tuesday night. My guess is 2,700/2,800 in attendance which is very poor.

Yes it's shit.
But a few years ago you were probably getting 3 or 4 hundred so it's progress I guess.

I pity you for the infestation of degenerates you'll have on Saturday.
We will take the ticket and beer money and smile! Hope they enjoy the visit to the town, have a few beers enjoy it all but then watch their team lose. Nothing personal

Correct. On a sat this would get nearer 4K and u would bring double what u will tomorrow. May creep over 3k just but possibly not thanks to two defeats and Saturdays game

Our away support is right down to the die-hards at the moment so any more than 250 at your place I'll regard as a plus of sorts.
Might not even reach that.
We too have an attractive option at the week-end in the form of Blackpool away so some may pick and choose.

And we can't compete with topless barmaids in the Manchester bar..

Believe it or not the only time we have had crowds around the 300 mark was in a particularly poor period in the late 70's in the old Southern league division one whatever it was. For a non-league club our gates were pretty solid prior to and after this period averaging I would guess between 700 to 1,500 mainly. Slowly our support is picking up though and its great to see so many younger fans coming to the Pirelli, makes me smile as some of these young lads have never known Albion as anything other that a league team !

No shots in half an hour's play, but certain melts who support us will still say we can't get anyone better in to manage us. Get in the bin.
