We are shit.

This is the point at which I'd usually say 'serious questions need to be asked of Wenger', but it's been done so many times and what is the point anymore. Seriously, this team selection is SHIT. Sick of it. It's PSG, play your strongest team for fucks sake. AND PLAY A STRIKER SANCHEZ IS NOT A STRIKER DEAR LORD NO.

Proper good Wenger, innee?

Funnily enough when we play our best players in their best positions, we look a lot better. We should have started like this.

I've not got it on but I saw that Sanchez scored! Is he back on the wing, then?

Sanchez on the wing, Giroud up front. We almost scored again. I heard Wenger was going to do a madness this year but Sanchez up front wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Well... That's probably any chance of winning the group on goal difference out of the window.

Good result after a tragic first half where we should have been 3-0 down. In the end we could have nicked it.

What on earth was Giroud thinking for the second yellow. Not sure what Verratti did to deserve his second but will need another look.

EDIT: On second watch I think a yellow for Giroud was harsh too based on what was on the TV. Something happened off camera though, not sure what yet. He's still a nonce for putting himself in that situation.

Arsenal did steal it but we should have been 3 or 4 up by the time Sanchez equalised. Cavani is going to get crucified in the press this season as he works very hard but is a horrible finisher. Di Maria was also particularly dogshit compared to what he is capable of doing. Our defence should have held though, it didn't.
Fair play to Arsenal like.

We could conceivably have been 5-0 down by the time Giroud came on, whereby we started looking like a football team with a style of play. PSG weren't great, we were just fucking pants. Thought we were going to win it when Iwobi got in, but it was a p poor finish (maybe a bit harsh). Good result.

What a waste of time it is letting Celtic play in this.
The achievement was qualifying, and tbh a lot of English clubs go down easily against Barca as well particularly Arsenal, so a team like Celtic has no chance.

Shitty weather in Manchester and cancelled match. I feel sorry for the Gladbach Fans and I hope a lot of them can make it to the game tomorrow.

Today I've watched the Simulcast at Sky Sports Germany (because the ManCity vs Gladbach match was cancelled)

Barca vs Celtic: What's to say? At least no double figures. How many assists did Neymar get?
Bayern vs Rostov: Same could be said for Rostov
PSG vs Arsenal: Lucky lucky Arsenal

the rest of the matches wasn't so interesting for me and and I was momentary nodding off when the conference switched to these games.

Pity the City v Gladbach game was cancelled tonight, as I think it will be a hell of a good watch that one. Got it tomorrow though and tbh its probably the pick of tomorrow nights matches anyway.

Does winning the SPL, beating Lincoln Red Imps, and scraping past Astana and Hapoel Beer Sheva really constitute anything other than about par for a team like Celtic?

Tricky games (the last two anyway) and they managed them very well. Astana were in the CL proper last year so Celtic did well to progress.

Our first top tier European game as the most inexperienced European side in the competition. Wanna see Slimani play but can understand if Okazaki starts. Will be pleased with an expected 6 nil win.

Rostov surely are more inexperienced?

Anyways as for last night, happy with the win. We weren't overly impressive but we needed to win at least 1 away game. I'm pretty confident we can win all our home games so I can see us going through. That said I do still think Besiktas and Benfica have the firepower to take us out. I can see us losing away to Benfica, maybe losing away to Besiktas but we'll win our home games.

Milik has been a good signing so far, but hopefully he can do more than win headers. In the air he's looked unbeatable but some players like that can be limited. Still he's a young player and I have high hopes for him.

Gonna watch Juve vs Sevilla tonight. Fox Sports should show it because if there is a half decent Argentinian playing then they'll show it.

You've played in the Europa before. Have Rostov ever played in any European competition?

I'm saying this without research mind, although I do for a fact know that Leicester have played in Europa.

Good result last night for Arsenal in the end, if they can beat PSG at the Emirates you'd have to fancy them to take top spot which they could really do with if they want to avoid being knocked out in the last 16 by Bayern Munich or Barcelona. Celtic will be disappointed to lose 7-0 is pretty poor no matter who the opposition is.

Benfica 1-1 Besiktas
FC Basel 1-1 Ludogorets
Bayern Munich 5-0 Rostov
Barcelona 7-0 Celtic
PSG 1-1 Arsenal
Dynamo Kiev 1-2 Napoli
PSV Eindhoven 0-1 Atletico Madrid

Great for Albrighton! I was expecting a tight game, but it looks lively actually.
