You're good at home. We're good away.

2-2 with akindepen scoring a couple probably.

3,200 crowd with 1,350 visiting fans

I'm not sure there will be 1,850 home fans at the Hive on Saturday!
As things stand, Allen needs to get some new people in pronto as our squad is currently ridiculously depleted and a few of the players who are fit must on no account be in the starting line-up.

Could well be a 50/50 split then!

Ridiculous how they havent made this all ticket for travelling fans! 800 sold already and that is through Barnet and not our club. ANOTHER lock out is on the cards!

It won't be if you're taking 1350 to the Hive. The North Terrace and the part of the West Stand allocated to away fans is more than that.

How much does it hold?

Currently 15 senior players at the club who are fit. Loanee keeper and a kid on the bench, no right sided mid, one cb will play with stitches in his head as we only have two who are fit.
4 of the fit players are strikers and like Ben says there are 3/4 players who aren't really good enough.

Will need the kids like Odofin and Taylor to step up. Allen says we need a CB on loan but really it's a creative midfielder or recalling the two kids Shomotun or Fonguck from their loans to give us a bit more than hoof and hope.

Probable line up
Lawlor
Hoyte Ngala Dembele Johnson
Yiadom Togwell Weston Gambin
Akinde McLean

If Weston is played RM again it will be another massacre. Expecting a 2-1 defeat

Expecting a tricky game. Barnet's home form is good. We still have Taylor but Gaffney is gone and may not return so Easter or Harrison will have to step up. We also really, really need to win, yes we're in the playoffs but with starting to establish ourselves there a loss here with games against Plymouth, Oxford and Accrington coming up would not be ideal.

Our home form against top half is W1 D2 L3. I can see why it would worry you.

Martin Allen has listened to his fans long enough to also believe that we are rivals

“Now we play our rivals Bristol Rovers.

“We’ve got a very good home record, they’ve got a good away record, and there’s rivalry between the two clubs.

“So we’re all looking forward to a great occasion on Saturday afternoon.”

Just another game Martin!

I think you will struggle to find any reference to us being rivals this season on our forum. Just Allen talking shit as usual

Lisbie is a dud who we should get off the books asap

We must be rivals then. A whole three including a matchday thread and two joke threads on a page of 25 when we play you this week,

A lot of the reason our match is receiving so much focus is Barnet fans want to forget last weekend. If we had won or at least played a bit better we would still be talking about that.

I don't care how good he is, that is a simply spectacular name.

If we had been doing well and had other things to think about, I doubt that these threads would have been created..

Interesting game this, again, could go anyway. If we want to consider ourselves are true promotion candidates, then we have to win, what with Bristol City's Barnet's injury list. However, as mentioned, they have a good home record and it looks like Gaffney won't be returning, which could go 2 ways, we play a blinder and win comfortably with the teams showing we're not a 1 man team; or be lose 1-0 and play crap.

I still think Gaffney could become a Gashead this month, but I certainly don't think we'll get anything completed in time for Saturday which is a shame. I thought Easter played well with Gaffney against Orient so hopefully the rest over Christmas has done him good and he can partner up well with Taylor. The potential signing of Liam Lawrence is an interesting one - an experienced attacking midfield player who won promotion from League Two last season - and I imagine he'd come straight into the team otherwise what's the point? May help us manage Mansell's game time with a player who should offer us more going forward.

Barnet have good home form as has been said, but we should fancy ourselves against any team with the form we're in.

Your away form since October 1W 2D 2L, With the one win being against Dagenham.

Irrelevant really as we wont be able to break you down and we wont be able to stop you scoring.

Bloody hell, I hadn't seen this :sur:

Think it'll be a tough game but I don't think our respective records mean too much - hopefully at the very least you'll see a lot different a side to the one which lost at the Hive last year!

As BeesKnees says above, our away form over the last 2 month's isn't actually that impressive, 1W, 2D, 2L.

Barnet have the 3rd best home record in the league, winning 7 of their 12 home games losing just 3 and they've won their last 2 at the Hive.

I don't actually look at this as a game we have to win. Everything points towards an extremely tough match and I'd be fairly happy to come away with a point.

It's also a big blow to lose Gaffney as he's been superb and has not just scored goals but made a big difference to the performance of the entire team.

Hard fought draw, I'd probably go along with the OP and say 2-2.
