Surprised at that, we had 4000 there last season. Saying that I think I recall some of their fans being annoyed that the high allocations were giving the away team an advantage.

Yeah? That is strange. Think maybe it's something to do with Sky and it being on a Friday?

Maybe. We had half the 'neutral' area well as the 4,000 so 2,750 is very low for Fulham.

Yeah, NUFC.com was recommending purchasing in the neutral end pre-sale so I'm sure it'll be similar but as far as official allocation goes that is significantly lower hey? I'll try and find out if there is a reason.

At the time, lots of Fulham supporters were moaning as we supposedly 'made it like an away game for them'. It's hardly the visiting sides fault if the home fans don't make any noise!
I can only guess that it's because of those complaints. :dk:

That is low for Fulham but I still expect Newcastle to have a good 1k or so in the neutral part so that would make it around 4K.

Officially sold out our allocation of 2750 for the first game at Fulham and we've now well surpassed our ST sales from last year. I'm excited.
I've never known a fanbase get their hopes up so much over being relegated and being in the championship. Typical Newcastle fans and the reality is it will probably end in tears again. You should piss the league though.

no offence meant, it's just your fanbase get easily excited then it all falls through. As it happens I think you have a great fanbase in terms of support so it weren't a dig. Nah mate I get up at 5 and walk the dog but I'm just going for a few now if that counts.

That's how we're portrayed though - we know we're shit. We're not a big Club, far from it, we're just well supported. We're branded with this deluded brush because of this.

In all honesty we never get excited because it's never high enough for anything to fall through ha!

Haha I was just kidding mate, you're a better man than me for doing that on a Saturday morning.

In other news we're currently beating Sporting Lokoren 4-0. We're going to win the treble.

Took around 3500 to Dublin against Shamrock Rovers last week, another 1700-2000 against Peterborough on Saturday, 3100 sold out at QPR for first game of the season which is a sky game on the Sunday.

Whilst there is now a £30 cap in the Premier League, it is £37 again for our match at Leeds.

The pricing is just plain wrong in this division El G. Personally, I would like to see the Premier league cap applied in this division as well, it's certainly a 'cash rich' league now so I see no reason why it shouldn't be applied.

£37 for Leeds, I hear £40+ for Villa at Sheffield Wednesday...it's not even like they're modern state of the art venues, the only appeal is the nostalgic element, the actual stadiums are pretty run down.

Villa only charging us 25 quid for adults in our first away game, not sure if there pricing em at that price for everybody but thats very reasonable price for a big relegated premier league club. Got tickets Saturday for it in lower tier as top tier sold already what ever number that is, so should be an away sell out there when it comes to it.

I imagine most clubs will sell out at VP as it'll be a new/rare stadium for a lot. Villa will sell out their allocation almost everywhere too I imagine, for the same reason.

Villa are pretty fair price wise IIRC. I took my lad up to VP last season for the Chelsea game and paid £28 to sit in the North stand. When you consider I paid £47 for a comparable seat at Stamford bridge, it seems VP is reasonably priced.
That said, due to their large away support, the likes of Villa will be premium prices as away fans which is totally unfair.

We'll probably charge you lot that much now, but in general we're alright. £30ish normally from away fans I've spoken to. Derbies will probably be a bit more, but I'd hope we stick to the Premier League rules we fought for and charge no more than £30. Let's face it, with our new owner, we don't exactly need to charge loads.

Have you seen the colour of the blokes money though Jase? Putting bids in that you know will be rebuffed means nothing WTGR, anyone can do it. We could bid £25M for Lewandowski, for example. Our owner can easily afford it but we know what answer we would get!

The "Our owner is a billionaire" siren nearly went off then. You had it beeping, like a smoke alarm that needs its battery changing.

It was a light hearted post Cha. I wouldn't want that Bayern bastard at the Gate anyway. ;)

Look at Man City. Think because they're owners are oil rich that they charge pittance for match tickets? It's a business at the end of the day that won't affect the supporter. Hopefully where you'll see the change, to use the Man City model, is the infrastructure of the academy and on site facilities etc.

£22 for Bristol City and £24 for Notts Forest. Pleasantly surprised Forest is that low, I remember having to pay around £30 after making a last minute decision to pay on the day for a game a few years back. Was worth it though, we won 4-1. :D
