Chasing ST holders at this stage is a bit worrying isn't it??
They have only recently gone back on sale AFAIK. I do know we've surpassed our record SC sales already so we aren't doing too badly. We've just never had the higher capacity we have now as a seated stadium so I can't see any harm in pushing for a few more TBH.

We've sold 13,800 ST's and 1,200 corporate seats which aren't getting included in the total, so as things stand we'll have a 15,000 guaranteed every week. This is probably for the away thread, but if we're challenging top six I expect an average of around 20k next season.

over 13,000 sold supposedly and only 2-3000 remaining makes it seem like a late push rather than being worried as such. Anyway don't really know how JJ didn't get that the blacked out shirt holder was a fan.
I did understand, I was just being hopeful more than anything.

I should hope so with potentially 2,700 away fans to add to that!
15,000 pre sold is pretty damn good for us. :2thumb:

yeah, I'm impressed, but at the same time annoyed they didn't do a cheaper pricing structure. We could've had some serious numbers if the tickets weren't 500 odd quid in the new west stand.

We should do, plenty left without tickets last season, and we've always got a decent amount of walk ups. We'll see mind.

I appreciate I can just Google this but it's always nice to engage; What's the capacity of Ashton Gate at the minute?

Moved the posts across to here from the transfer rumours thread fellers, just for the sake of staying on topic etc.

Haillay7 next season will be 27,000. It was previously 21k before segregation and health and safety etc was taken into account, but we've added a decent amount onto the capacity.

Pre- rebuild it was 21K but we lost 1,500 due to segregation.
Without the new West stand it was 16,500 but should be 27,000 for the new season. If you came here the last time you were down, you won't recognise the place.

That's brilliant that. If there's even more expansion planned you'll be rivalling a good number of PL Clubs soon enough.

Sadly not although a couple of my mates made the trip back when. I know it's early on this year so I'll keep you posted and if/when I need any tips ha.

The Atyeo (which is the smaller stand which hasn't been redeveloped) has houses behind it so can't be extended YET, but there have been rumours floating about for years that Lansdown's buying them when they come up, to knock them down and extend the stand. Could have it the same size as the new west stand, and have a 35,000 seater which would be full every week in the PL. That'd be great.

You'd have to get to the PL first, have you ever even been in the top division?

Aye, bit like us. Newcastle City council have rebuffed a couple of redevelopment attempts due to any new tier blocking out the sun that goes in to Leazes Park and the surrounding listed properties.

What're you trying to get it extended to?

As far as I'm aware we were looking at expanding the Gallowgate a while back (15 years ago possibly) to have a full capacity of 60,000. After a quick search, there's been an even more recent attempt to do the same but with the ownership of the outside land possibly blocking it.

Aren't the rank of houses behind the smaller side stand at St James' listed Haillay7? They're bloody close to the back of that stand IIRC.
As for extending the Gallowgate end, wouldn't you have to divert the road outside Shearers to do that?

Yeah that's the one. They're basically just across the road so yeah as close as you're likely to get you're right. If you mean would we have to during any hypothetical construction then very possibly. May just be a case of pedestrianising it but like I say I think it was mall rebuffed.

Our Fulham tickets only just went on sale today. The unofficial site was actually recommending we just buy them in the neutral end until the away end came on sale.

5,500 maximum.

And they'll sell em all too even at £42. They will sell out every game imo especially if there doing well. It really is a novelty for them they've been a top flight club for virtually there history haven't they?

Just to add full capacity won't be 27k for the first few games until we have the safety certificate, must like the SS couldn't be sold out to its full capacity for the first few games of last season, especially now that the West Stand won't be ready for the Pompey friendly.
