Well we've got LJ as well so we didn't really need to start with Barnsley.

Reckon so mate. Think how quickly it sold out last time Newcastle were in town...
We'll see pal. It would be nice to see the upper West opened and I expect 23/ 24K but not sold out. I would love to be proven wrong though.
For the Toon, I would guess at around 23,000 which would mean the upper is not opened, I think!

How big is the upper tier?
Id expect it to be open against Villa and Newcastle but not sold out

Absolutely delighted with our fixtures, first game is a bit boring but most of the better away days have landed on a Saturday apart from Forest and Huddersfield but ill take that. Already looking forward to our first away match which is Aston Villa, been twice before to Villa Park and its a cracking stadium.

4,000 / 4,500 isn't it? I guess there would be a trigger figure at which it will be opened but for some reason I understood we are at 23,000 capacity without opening it so it's 4,500 in the top tier, unless I imagined it.
A message to our Wigan counterparts, either leave obscenely early (ie Friday) or forget about bringing the car and come down on the train. The M5 will be choked with caravans heading for the South West and Cornwall and will be solid around Bristol as it is every year. I would, genuinely, not even think about bringing the car for this one as you will be stuck for hours and hours! I would hope your club coaches realise this as we have had instances where coaches from Northern clubs don't even get to the match and turn around. You've been warned, it's absolute chaos on the M5, in this part of the country, at weekends during the school holidays, absolutely hopeless.

I thought it was about 6000 for some reason, but that number rings a bell.
Maybe I had the tiers capacities the wrong was round

Preston (H), which was also our last home fixture of last season..

Not got the kindest set of fixtures.

Seems like they have at least given clubs more local midweek games, but we still predictable have Newcastle and Leeds away midweek.

Have they? Norwich, Leeds, Wednesday and PNE away midweek for us is hardly 'more local'!

Not for us they haven't!
Leeds, Preston, Wednesday and Norwich.
Nearest being QPR.

Ignored the ones where it's Christmas/new year/bank holidays.

Bristol City fans, any idea if the away end will be in a different part of the ground this season or will it still be that pocket behind the goal? Can imagine most of us will go by train anyway, £32 quid Parson Street return via Newport for me, not bad considering how far away it is.

The away stand will be the ateyo. Not a clue how many away tickets we will be selling mind.

As Jon says, away fans will be in the West side of the Atyeo stand (near side in this picture) next season where up to around 3,000 away supporters can be accommodated. There will be 1,000 home fans in the same stand at the Dolman / far end. I would guess the away end would be up to the 'S' or 'T' in 'Bristol' or close to it.
It's essentially the same as the season just finished but a lot more of the stand is allocated to away fans.

Same stand as last year, which is the atyeo end. I think it holds 4000 (I'm sure someone will correct that) and we have a section of season tickets in there (1000 I believe, again probably will be corrected). Take away segregation/anything else reducing seats and you're looking at about 2500 odd tickets.

Ipswich away is a decent opener, plenty of train drinking and should manage a bit more than the couple of hundred who turned out the last few times I've been.

Disappointed with Villa/Newcastle at Oakwell midweek as they might not sell out on a Tuesday night but other than that can't complain, only long distance midweek trip is vs QPR and we never win there so probably wouldn't have bothered even on a Saturday.

Enjoyed League One but can't wait for some fantastic away days and big crowds at Oakwell,

You won't have to wait long for a cracker at home.

We'll probably bring 5k for your first home game.

Would be a cracking effort that. I know you brought 6k the other year at £15 a ticket and on the back of some ridiculous run of form but I'd be impressed if you managed near that for a bog standard league game.
