Coincidentally we sign off where our Championship exploits started, against Charlton, the first opposition we came across and tried to gauge ourselves against in 2013/14. 4500+ coming up for a party in London (where were you when we were shit etc etc). So long as we don't lose 20-0, it's gonna be a cracking day! Winning promotion on a Monday night was a bit weird. So Saturday is the chance to celebrate it properly, the old fashioned way, by getting absolutely battered all weekend.

May even be a slight chance of the title, if Watford slip up against Sheffield Wednesday. But who cares. Our squad were out on the lash in Bournemouth on Monday night, so their minds may well have started choosing which beach they're going to lie on all summer. And who can blame them. Perhaps a draw might be nice, so there's a clear point in it. Whatever.

Charlton aren't exactly going to lie down and let us have a party either, so the actual game and result could well be hard work. I don't think we've won, or even scored a goal at The Valley in decades (if ever?). It's a ground I really like and not the worst journey in the world either, although the trains are slightly complicated by engineering work.

Bournemouth's last win at The Valley was '75 and last goal was '81 but in fairness the next meeting wasn't until 2010!

I'd like to see Bournemouth win the title but on the other hand I don't like seeing teams celebrating on our pitch so I would be happy to poop on that little parade but I doubt the Bournemouth fans will care that much.

Matt Ritchie with a cracking finish for the first goal.

For the second - I don't know what's going on at the back for Charlton.

Thanks very much to Charlton they were excellent today, facilitating our celebrations and allowing our staff and players to do all that.

The game was a nonsense really, a training session in which Charlton put up such little fight and we tried to score perfect goals and seemed to pass up several decent openings. So pleased for both Francis and After having such good games at their former club, they were about the only ones who really cared today.

When news came through of the Wednesday equaliser, the place went crazy. An unexpected if fantastic title. That Wednesday home game was weird but sounds like that game at Watford was even stranger. 93rd min?

Anyway, what a day!!!!!

Un-bloody-believable.

We cruised through the game, Charlton were on holiday and we were picking them off, Shane we weren't more clinical as we could have got to the 100 goal mark.

But the best celebrations of all came when there were whispers of a Sheffield Wednesday equaliser... Cue half celebrating and half desperately checking their phones.

Everything Charlton did today for us was class, reminds me Burton a few years back, but we got a trophy this time. I may never see us win a league title again they come along so rarely for the likes of us, I will remember today for a long, long time.

We were embarrassingly bad yesterday, that second goal was diabolical. I know we had nothing to play for but would like to have seen us at least try and win the game.

Hats off to Bournemouth though.
