"Each EFL Club shall play its full available strength in and during all Matches. The League will from time to time issue a policy as to what constitutes 'full available strength'. Any Club failing to meet this requirement will be required to pay a fine of up to £5,000.

So basically they make up the rules about what teams we can play as and when they see fit, there's not even a clear-cut rule about the five players from the previous or following starting line-up or whatever it used to be anymore as far as I can see.

Although it's fair to say by any definition we haven't gone with "full available strength"

That is a nonsense ruling if you've copied and pasted that. That has no legal basis whatsoever.
What does "available" mean? Maybe they've all gone to the races and missed their train home and as such they aren't "available" for this game.

We've gone with a broadly full-strength line-up... if anything a stronger line-up than Curle normally puts out in this fixture. Not too bothered by that though as long as we don't overdo it and we have rested Jabo and Gillspie. We have an unbeaten record in all competitions and I guess keeping that going will benefit morale.

Might not care about the trophy, but we're tearing Oldham, albeit a weakened one, a new one at the moment and I'm happy about that. There is a certain logic to not just pulling all youngsters out, as the players Oldham have put out seem to be having a terrible time of things and that won't be great for their morale. Though as Luton are showing, sometimes it works out.
