The game itself was a good one, but I thought we were pretty average once again. Fortune isn't anywhere near good enough and Tudgay proved in a number of minutes he is a much better option. Had Mowbray made the subs earlier, we may well have won the game.

Chesterfield were decent, and as I said in the other thread, I thought the atmosphere was very good. Enjoyed my second visit to Chesterfield.

I wouldn't blame Tudgay for wanting to leave. He is a good striker at this level

In September 2008, Lee was attacked during a night out in Sheffield and required surgery after his jaw was broken.[4] After returning to action, Lee became a fan favourite at Saltergate.

Maybe that's why he's so angry! Bully.

This is where if i was more clued up on how to do it, i'd post a video of the "let it go" song from frozen.

Agree. First half we were average pretty much due to Fortune offering jack shit. Came out the blocks flying second half, and really deserved to win imo.

Next game we should line up:

RCC

Phillips Martin Ricketts Stokes

Vincelot Fleck

JOB Maddison Murphy

Tommy Lee is entitled to defend his box. If that involves Warwickshire cretins then so be it.

Yeah, that is without doubt our best team with those who are fit.

Referee was so poor once again. Unlike the Sheffield United game where there were 3/4 huge decisions which the ref got wrong, today there were many mistakes. The lino didn't have a clue too.

Mowbray is silly getting himself sent off, but I think it helped the players.

4th game in a row with a shite ref. Cost us 5 points from sheffield united and Oldham.

One win in six games is really poor, especially with some of the absolute shite we've played.

Shite that have massively raised their game. We need to learn to deal with this quickly!

There appears to be a problem with Chesterfield's stewarding of away fans. Wigan took about 1,000 and quite a lot managed to get on the pitch when they went 3-2 up. You would have thought they would be on top of this today after the Wigan game but obviously not.

This doesn't happen at any other ground in the country, and if it does, it's 1 or 2, not a high number.

I'm not even fishing here. It's a genuine problem.

More the design of the ground. Nothing stopping fans running on. Had there been one railing half the fans wouldn't have ran on.

Yeah just the ground, the home fans fairly regularly decide to run on the pitch. Oftne makes for quite entertaining exchanges. Soiund slike we reallu upped it for Danny Wilsons return. Good point in my eyes despite conceding so late. Pleased to see over 9000 there too, very good effort from both

Not what I am trying to say. Other grounds our fans have ran on the pitch, such as Walsall because there is nothing there to stop it. You never see fans get on the pitch at the Ricoh because there are railings there. It is strange, but it does make a slight difference.

Very annoying result. We should have put this game to bed. If SEB had just squared that ball to Morsy who was in acres, it's 2-0 and game over. When you're struggling down the bottom of the table these things tend to happen though. The performance was much better than we've been seeing for the last few months though so that's encouraging. The pitch invasion was a bit embarrassing though, bloody hell

My favourite bit was when DH84 tried comparing that goalkeeper repeatedly kicking a man on the floor with Tommy Lee making a citizen's arrest.

It's a very British thing to be annoyed by a pitch invasion after scoring a goal.

The fan who Tommy took down with a superb body slam was the only one arrested yesterday :2thumb:

The referee is there to enforce the laws of the game, in a situation such as this he has no leeway at all to deviate from the letter of the law. I agree that the referee should be able to use his discretion, but he can't, so unless the IFAB change the law, anyone who says this shouldn't have been a red card is wrong.

What? My post is correct. You can't change the rulebook. Are players allowed to get away with a terrible tackle if the opposing player said something abusive to him before? If a player over celebrates are you allowed to hit him?
