Another tough game; saw bits of their game against Cardiff on Saturday and they didn't really live up to the hype that they were getting earlier in the season. Looking at individuals names in their squad, I don't think they're all that - which tells you all you need to know about the league this season.

I'd be ecstatic if we can beat these, we're a tough nut to crack defensively under LJ and Kodjia took his chances well on Saturday. We gave 'em one hell of a game at their place earlier in the season.

Unchanged team, with a draw being the likely result IMO.

1-1 - Kodjia with ours.

Think we'll draw this one as well which would be alright to keep the unbeaten run going. Can't see any of the bottom 3 getting any joy so we have a chance to move even further clear!

Yeah, it's probably no surprise that in our worst defeat for a couple of years we didn't look a true reflection of a side positioned 4th in late Feb. Hughton took a gamble resting a few key/in-form players while setting up in a less familiar formation and backfired badly, not helped by some uncharacteristically shambolic defending.

No excuses though, can't come close to a repeat performance if we're to keep in the auto promotion race. Need to get back to what we're good at, organised 4-4-2 with Kayal influencing things in the middle and Knockaert/Murphy hitting teams on the break.

Definitely not relishing this one though, Johnson seems to have made a positive impact at City and we've already seen this season how difficult the likes of Kodjia are to contain. We could really do with getting straight back to winning ways but I don't think a point would be a bad result at all at Ashton Gate. Only have to look at how Boro fared.

2-2.

Brighton seem to have a sprinkle of star quality coupled with Houghton's organisation but no reason why we cant match them.

1-1. I'd definitely take that to keep the unbeaten run going and Brighton are a good side.

It's the Championship, when you're on a bad run it's hard to see how you're ever going to pick up a point, but right now I don't see why we can't beat anybody.

Having said that in the first half at their place they ripped us to shreds - by far the best I've seen from anyone all season (even though we actually went in 1-0 up they should've had 5 or 6. Then we were much better 2nd half had most of the play and lost that 2-0, strange game that was.) If they play anything like that it will be very tough.

Few injuries, Gladwin could be back on the bench by the sounds of it. Baker 50/50 but Pearce will slot in okay for him if he doesn't make it. Little 70/30 according to LJ but I'd be tempted to give Vyner a run in any case, very confident debut on Saturday. Though facing someone like Knockaert or Murphy will be a very different proposition to what MK offered.

O'Donnell

Vyner Flint Baker/Pearce Golbourne

Pack Smith

Freeman Tomlin Bryan

Kodjia

Subs: Fielding, Little, Pearce/Williams, Gladwin, Reid, Agard, Wilbraham
I'll go 1-1.

0-1 Brighton. Zamora.

Doesn't feel as bad being negative when we now have a nice cushion between ourselves and the rele zone. :)

Brighton supposedly bringing in Glenn Murray on loan... shit, he'll probably score pretty freely at this level.

Think we'll lose this one personally, despite the good form.

Two chances two goals. They look decent on the break. Fucking criminal the amount space that Baldock got for their second.

We were popping it about nicely at one point but alas they took their chances and we havent created anything.

Fingers crossed for a storming comeback.

Vyner at fault for at least 2 of the goals. Chin up son, come back in a year all the better for it.

Wasn't a 0-4 game. Two mistakes from Vyner and Baldock had the freedom of Bristol to score his.

Little back in at Forest and another clean sheet up there. I'm genuinely not worried by that at all tonight, I just couldn't be arsed to stick around when I knew the game was gone.

Results gone our way again because the teams below us are shit. We'll stay up.

Only problem might be loss of confidence tbh

No it won't, they lost 4-1 on the weekend; the Championship doesn't do consistency.

A draw? Try 4-0 son :woot:
zzzzzzzz. Congratulations on your win, good luck for the POs - I don't think any of us on here genuinely care given the results below us.

That was the funniest 4-0 defeat Ive ever seen.

Not knocking Brighton as they are clearly a good team but they only had 4 chances. Sadly with inefficiencies like Freeman in the team we have to work a lot harder for our goals.

We obviously got a bit carried away with our form but no harm done other than to Vyners confidence I would have thought.

Our highest win this season but as you lot say it didn't feel like a 4-0. The key to this league is pace. You have to have it.

We do. I said that you looked really effective on the break with the pace of your midfield before the first went in.

Bad day at the office, particularly for Vyner...

Not arsed though.

Pretty bad that. Baldock can fuck off the shit little bastard. Vyner had a nightmare the poor lad as did his replacement; Doesn'tLikeToMark Little. I like LJ but under Pembo that would've been a 0-0.

No Baker no party.

Brighton's ability to be clinical and decisive going forward and our hesitancy when approaching their box we the only two different aspects in this, otherwise the game was very different. But fair play to Brighton those are the performances teams around the top 6 produce.

Eh? It's not LJ's fault the only right back fit to start was a 17 year old (or whatever he is), you can't hold him accountable for that.

A bad day at the office, we'll get something at Forest.

I didn't get what the hate for Baldock was all about, stayed with us when we went down and did well earning a move back to the championship, didn't speak badly about the club or anything, didn't really celebrate his goal, yet fans were constantly calling him wanker, c*** etc. Atyeo were abusing him as he went off too.

He scored a good amount of goals and seemed a decent bloke. But for some reason I just don't like him. Probably cause of the many, many piss easy chances he missed. I don't think he scored once outside the box for us, but of course he does it with ease tonight.
