My Brothers, we have a lifeline! If Bury are successful the door is opened for us all to apply for "compassionate re-entry" to the Football League. I mean it wasn't our fault our teams were useless, why should we the fans suffer?

Fingers crossed everyone, for Brother Bury, they give hope to us all.:brill:

If the numbers are correct, 70% or so are apparently opposed to it so it'll not happen IMO.

Bury need to fuck off. Serial offenders.

Didn't see their fans moaning too much last season when they were out bidding everyone else for players with no means of paying them

We didn't outbid anyone last season.

So Bury were promoted on a shoestring and not paying your bills was an accident ?

Happened too many times and needs to stop

I don't support the idea of reinstating them but weren't the big wages part of the owner's plan to put the club out of business, or at least a deliberate distraction from the asset stripping? I wouldn't call it your average shit or bust spending spree.

Chuck em out. No one showed compassion to us when we were forced to fork out £200k in a day to stay in this league, so why should they get any special treatment?
Or for us when the suits fucked up. :ds:

I agree. Why should they get a reprieve when Halifax, Darlington, Chester and Hereford didn't?

Because they won the FA Cup twice over 100 years ago. Bring back Bury and bring back Wanderers.

Seems a little bit of bitterness towards us here?
Some of the teams having a swing at us I can understand, York, Wrecsam, natural bitters, historical stuff.
But WOKING!?
We gave you such a warm welcome in the Cup at Gigg Lane and this is what you think of us really?
We even stopped booing our non-tryers that night so we could give your players a standing ovation!
Thanks.
For the record I am happy to start our fightback from step whatever.

You'll meet a lot of spite, from here on in. Mickey Mouse outfits pretending it's not their cup final and beating you is no big deal, even though they celebrate as though they've won the European Cup, and anyway they're just as big as you are. Get ready to play an FA Cup tie, where you're the giant everybody wants to slay, every week, for the next 3 or 4 years until you're at least back to National League level. Chester, Darlington, Hereford will also confirm this

It's not about being bitter, it's about not understanding why some Bury fans think you are a special case? Other clubs have had to start again, have had points deductions and been disqualified from league, why are you so special?

I hope Bury fans get their club back and ultimately get back into the league, but you'll have to do it in the same way others have done before.

It must be time now for Bury to accept their fate and really plan for next season. There's seven months to get finance, a ground, manager and squad in place. Somehow keep fan engagement going between now and pre season and try to put the disaster behind them.
It was nearly us this summer and non league football is a whole lot better than having no club to support on a Saturday, even if it's down in the Unibond.
Good luck.

Do you want to try coming up with some original material anytime soon?

Andy Burnham now wants them put in the National League https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...820355/burnham-time-to-step-up-fight-for-bury

These MPs seem to wanna continue giving Bury fans false hope instead of actually being realistic.

He's talking absolute shit. There won't be a club short in the National League if the FL cut League 2 relegation down to 1 place, and they should not be put in anywhere else at the expense of other clubs who may have done no wrong.

If a Bury phoenix club then they should apply for whatever league they can get and be happy if they get a place in the North West Counties league, and if placed any higher than that treat it as a blessing. Saying that clubs at that level won't be able to handle their travelling support won't cut it, they seemed to cope with FC United fans when they first started up. It may have been through single match groundshares etc. but it was manageable.

I'm not bitter towards Bury at all. Just puzzled why they think they are a special case rather than the serial offenders they actually are.

Everyone else has to stick to the rules and there is no way the Conference will take them. But when Bury get back here (which I'm sure they will) they will then find themselves stuck here due to 2 up (a rule that they continually voted for).

Pay your bills, don't take the piss and do what nearly everyone else does. Seems the 'football league family' think similar.

Recall Norton using Vale Park to host FCUM actually so ways around it.

Can’t see any reply by a York fan on this thread.
For me doesn’t matter which team it is ,you should start again in northern counties like ever other club did.
Would say the same if York went bust.
A.F.C. Halifax,A.F.C. Telford,Darlington,Hereford,Maidstone,Scarborough,Chester didn’t get a chance, also what about other clubs that have paid debts back but playing lowest level ever?

But the debts have been forgotten, they don't matter.

Just let Bury back in to repeat in a few years time. This could actually be a good thing for them and I hope it is

So the MP's have tried the EFL and now they've moved onto the NL.

Presumably unbeknown to Frith etc, the NL are ruthless with financially difficult clubs so if he thought the EFL were harsh on Bury...

Well Hereford were put in the Midland Football League and regularly took 1k to away games. My club Long Eaton United got roughly 800 against them but it was a Tuesday night game (our ground can hold about 3.2k)

May I remind the Tin Potters among us that I am not able to engage with them directly, however if they care to submit their comments through one of my Brother's, I may consider a response

As you were.
Thank you
