George Bowerman from Altrincham to Telford on loan for a month.

Lee Sinnott clearly doesn't fancy him at all - a la Greg Wilkinson and Steven Gillespie, he's had him on the bench for weeks, with 5 minutes here and there. Fair play to him for shipping Bowerman out though - from a promising start, he's been disappointing (a la Wilkinson and Gillespie).
At least he can't score any more flukes against us.

Three games in August proved to be the pinnacle of his Alty career.

Seems Colin Gordon is trying to ship out everyone Whild brought in, Lathaniel Rowe-Turner has left on loan and joined Nuneaton until the end of the season.

And youngster Nathan Millichamp has joined Sutton Coldfield for a month.

Think we had Bowerman on trial for one game this summer - was awful.

Bowerman played two league games for us a couple of seasons ago when he was a free agent. A bit harsh to judge someone on two games, but he looked completely out of his depth.

Good signing that.

He scored about one goal in every two games at Welling which was pretty good. What's he done since, though? That's been his only good spell. Failed at Luton, Woking and Eastleigh, all clubs a step up from Welling. He'll remain at this level for his career, while not really raising any eyebrows.

So, the 3rd striker to leave this month and still no sign of a replacement for Mangan yet. We've lost Mangan, Tomlinson and now Margetts but have yet to bring anyone in to replace them, which means the replacement is either so expensive it takes losing 3 players to fund them or Brabin is taking one hell of a gamble on people he deemed not good enough just 6 months ago tidying us over until we can get someone.

As for Margetts, he's the infamous 'Trialist H' from pre-season, where he scored for fun. However, he's barely had a look in since then, playing and scoring 2 against Bromley being his only real contribution of note. He's a great finisher and just knows where to be but if he's not on it he contributes nothing else to the build up play. I wouldn't be surprised if he banged in 5+ league goals in his month spell and I wouldn't be surprised if he got none. He's just that type of player. I'd have liked him to get a chance with us, so take that how you will.
I would agree with that assessment on the whole though his finishing was a bit hit and miss with us.

What about Magnay and Amond? Were you bowled over by the signings of a Gateshead reject and a Morecambe striker with a fairly poor goal return?

Those signings received a fairly level reaction, not controversial as such and if anything Amond received a really positive reaction from what I remember.

Nolan is a completely different proposition. He's been signed at a vital stage of the season where we needed a first team central midfielder. He might prove us wrong, I just question the logic of signing a known trouble causer at such a vital point in not only our season, but our history.

We've just signed two lads from Nuneaton. Can any of you wonderful people give us an insight into either?

Callum Chettle and Aaron Williams?

Callum Chettle is a good player and is another good product to emerge from the very successful Ilkeston FC academy. There was rumours we were interested in him but he chose to follow Manager Kevin Wilson to Nuneaton. He is a defensive midfielder.

Aaron Williams scored something like 31 goals in 45 Appearances for Rushall Olympic in the Evo Stik Northern Premier last season. This got the attention of a number of clubs and Nuneaton won the race to sign him. He has proved himself to be too good for this level too. Certainly in the top 3 strikers in the Conference North this season. Both promising players.

Aldershot MBH is your problem again. After another awful performance Gordon has said we won't be extending his loan.

We've signed Dino Fazlik. Had a very tidy debut today. Thoughts Kiddy fans?

Started well for us, then got a petty sending off against Stourbridge in the Trophy and was released. I still think he'll do a good job in this division.

We signed 18 year old midfielder Charlie Cooper (son of Mark, grandson of Terry) on loan from Birmingham in time for him to be on the bench yesterday. If he's half as good as his dad, or at least his free kicks are, he'll be an asset.

Joe Clarke released. He's probably been the biggest disappointment of the season. Was supposed to be our leader in midfield who helped our youngsters push on but he was consistently poor and regularly outperformed by a teenager before being loaned out. His mistakes have cost us points this season as he got caught in possession too often in our own half and gave away too many free kicks.

Marcus Holness from us to Altrincham on loan; punishment for beating us earlier this season.
