Oxford, I think.

Well why is he funding Barnet's promotion push then?

Paid massive compensation for Allen, who they're doing better without, and has also paid out a load of money to them for a few of their unwanted squad players, whilst selling them Coulson on the cheap, who was probably Eastleigh's best player.

But the fact that we sold them our drummer a couple of seasons ago means that we're all even now.

Reda Johnson has signed a new 3 year deal at Eastleigh

3 years is a long contract given his injury record. We found out with the likes of Magno Vieira, Andy Mangan, Anthony Barry and most bizarrely Omar Koroma that 3 year deals aren't always the best investment at this level.

When Koroma was here, we also had Cherno Samba on trial. Those 2 up front would have been an FM player's dream lower league strikeforce, in reality both were utter shite. Shows how accurate some of those FM scouting stats actually are lol.

That was back in the day though. FM's scouting network dwarfs anything the clubs at this level have access to now.

After we signed a player called Andy Nicholas on a two-year deal, and he turned out to be a handy ballboy at best, Dave Bayliss was effectively banned from dishing out anything longer than a 12-month contract. Two years is standard for us now, but I doubt we'd offer three to anyone without a load of clauses.

He played 19 games for us last year, on loan from Burnley. He scored 5 goals, including one in the 3-3 draw with Lincoln (the Farman keepy-up game). He was very popular at Alty, nothing diva-ish about him.

This one was good too - we've won two league games since this day:

That was the game you beat us 4-0 I think, and he made our defence look Sunday league with that goal.

Bondz N'Gala leaves Eastleigh by mutual consent less than 2 months after they paid £60k for him from us. You couldn't make it up with that club.

Not Danny Cowley. He is so good AND clever that he has a network at least as good as FM. (It actually uses guys who scout for the game)

He's AMAZING according to 'DSL'.

Lost 3-0 against us this season which tells you everything.

Thanks for the FA Cup goals, Theo; some good memories. Not sure he ever had the right attitude for the Cowleys really and he never really scored many in the league. I think it was 3 goals, two of which he got via the dubious goals panel.

A rake? Meh.

During the transfer window we signed some LED lighting equipment from the old bill, confiscated during raids on drug factories (not mine btw). Got our pitch nicely defrosted. Signing of the window imo.

Bit of a weird one, Robinson.

His footballing brain is better than this level, but his finishing was pretty erratic bar FA Cup games. 2 in 14 I think in the league? And one of those just hit him. His best work was generally when we didn't have the ball in his work rate and pace.

We needed a striker before his departure, so now we need two. Marriott can't last 90 minutes and Muldoon isn't at the required level of the starting XI. Luckily, we've shared the goals around this season. Nearly 80 score in all competitions and our top scorer only has 11.

I think Robinson wanted to stay but we can't compete with L1 wages and a 2.5 year deal.

League team just buying any striker who scores a goal or 2 in the hope they turn into a Vardy. Classic case.

Quite a bizarre signing given the fire power (albeit misfiring at the moment) Tranmere already have at their disposal in Cooke, Norwood, Mangan, Stockton, Jennings, Almond, Tolitt, Kirby and Stephenson.
Can remember Dunn and Stockton tearing championship Rotherham a new one earlier in the season playing for Morcambe in the league cup. Perhaps this is Rovers last roll of the dice in trying to secure football league status this season. Hope this extravagance doesn't come back to bite us in future seasons when the Ingleborough rd money has run out. With our big fat squad should be able to give the FA trophy a good go now too.

The main reason for his signing seems to be a need for more left-footed players in the side. 4 goals in 10 games at Morecambe before having his loan spell ended early doesn't suggest a world-beater. This quote from Morecambe's forum raised an eyebrow, though generally they were positive about Jack Dunn's time there.

He's OK, but it's hard to believe he's from Liverpool and Stockton is from Tranmere.

As Micky Mellon isn't using the FA Trophy to give fringe players an opportunity and doesn't go for much squad rotation, can't see we need that big a squad. When we have players like Connor Jennings, proven scorer, who can't even get a place on the bench, then some doubts on the wisdom of this move. The Red Scouse tend to insert clauses involving financial penalties, if a certain number of games aren't played by the loaned players and it would be a misjudgement if either he played or Rovers were worse off as a result of such aclause.

Adam Buxton has now officially signed from Portsmouth!
Just until the end of this season. A welcome signing, giving us much-needed cover across the back.

Just a matter of interest how is Penn & massanka doing after a month.
I'm betting Penn is quality and massanka wank

Penn is just what we needed. High hopes he will stay beyond the summer.

Massanka has just had a couple of appearances off the bench so far, he's looked dangerous though . His pace is a huge weapon at this level.

Even though Robinson was on non-contract terms, Southend left it too late to put a 7-day notice in (contacted us at 4.30pm apparently) so they actually bought him off us.

Can't imagine it was a massive amount, but a fee nonetheless.
