Firstly, not only welcome back to L2, but welcome back to the football league!

I cannot even imagine what last season's Wembley finish must have felt like, but I'm over the moon that you've managed to finally come home. Now, come join us in L1 and we'll have a good old catch up about those Vanarama days ;)

Welcome home boys!

Well done Mariners.

One of the best lower league atmospheres I've ever experienced was at Blundell Park several years ago, very vocal lot.

Grimsby are probably the team best equipped from the play offs to do well next season, mainly why I really didn't want them up.

Forum will have been improved though by the presence of SOC, Paul and the other Grimsby fans.

Well done Grimsby! Welcome back to the football league or the English Football League as it'll soon be known. Your time served in hell has well and truly been served.

Pleased for them, seems like they've been down there forever, we only had 5 seasons of it and it was a living hell, you don't understand how much it means to be a football league side until you go down.

Pleased that I can do an all dayer on the train again to Grimsby and see if we can actually win at Blundell park.

I'm not too sure about, for starters their manager isn't all that.

Forest Green with Mark Cooper at the helm would have been the bigger threat.

Get in Grimsby, great end to the game today and glad to see Dizzers lift the trophy! Delighted for all the fans.

If you thought you were gonna piss the Conference, you'll actually piss this league :animatedf:

Nah I kid, its a step up but keep the core of the squad together and make some additions, you'll be fine. Actually think now the pressure is off Hurst may get his side playing more expansive football.

Cooper is a bit of a fraud to be fair. One good season at Swindon? They'd have thrown money at it I guess.

Congratulations Grimsby, well earned! Sad to miss out on a trip to Blundell Park, but we'll make do with vegan pies instead of fish and chips I guess
Welcome back, great stuff.

Now we just need to swap Wrexham, Lincoln City, Tranmere Rovers and Torquay Utd for Fleetwood, Crawley, Stevenage and Morecambe and lock the door.
Aye, no Stockport for you!

Great feeling especially after last years loss. Thanks for the welcome back everyone.

Even better knowing I hopefully never have to read another post by Sparrow or ChrisFGR again.

Back where you belong Grimsby. Mansfield/Notts County it is rather than than North Ferriby and Solihull.

Bet that feels good?

Well I'm sure when they got promoted we weren't top of the list of their thoughts.

Still, with York sinking back into the abyss it's nice to have a worthy replacement

I'm not sure I could've coped with another season. Today was a huge day in the history of the club and when Arnold's winner went in, I've never felt elation quite like it.

Cannot wait for it all to start, to see some away fans at BP, not have to play in the pissing FA Trophy, not to have our fixtures HANDWRITTEN and last but not least, not have to post in the same forum as the FGR & Woking fans!

Blackpool, Pompey (potentially), Donny, Mansfield, Notts County....brilliant!

Really really chuffed for the Mariners. Spent some happy hours in that salt of the earth, 'proper community' in the mid-90's. Being a footballing outpost means that they genuinely follow their hometown club and they've more than served their non-league sentence.

Every FL club should do 5 years in the Conference to really understand the meaning of being part of the official 92 - cos too many fans of clubs take it for granted.

Welcome back Grimsby. Genuine FL club who are back where they belong.....only down side is that I think that current side of yours will really struggle in League 2 - the standard has moved on and you need to recruit to compete.
