Pretty clear in the NL rules - expungation it is: ‘12.9 A Club which for any reason ceases to operate at any time during the Playing Season may have its playing record expunged, and any monies due to them from the Company shall be forfeited. From the date of the withdrawal no further payment shall become due to them. From the date of the withdrawal, that Club shall cease to be a member of the Company.’

Will have some ramifications for the table, IF we continue. Not least putting us just 8 points behind Torquay, with 4 games in hand, after we inexplicably lost to Dover on the opening day, while Torquay beat them 1-0 a few weeks later.

Might be difficult to enforce that rule. Dover aren't going to cease to function, they're basically going into a state of hibernation, and from that statement they seem happy to resume when further funding is in place.

Relegating them may also be difficult if NLN / NLS are declared null and void, although it would even out the distribution of clubs between the leagues.

True - but if they aren’t fulfilling fixtures, and it sounds like they have no intention to play a game any time soon, that would surely satisfy the ‘for any reason cease to operate’ part. They are effectively ‘ceasing to operate’.

You’re right though, no idea what would happen to Dover next, especially if NLS stops.

Expected news but what happens next could be anything :dk:
If the league carries on, would guess at demotion & maybe points deduction next season, but would that apply to other clubs who've are furloughing - Maidstone, Tonbridge & any others?

I think I'm the end the NL will be brutal on clubs not fulfilling fixtures and going on a work to rule. Only if eight or more NL clubs were to refuse to play does it get hard to implement.
Organisations are often slow to move but relentless and immovable when they do.

Having listened to the non league podcast yesterday, if the top priority could be to keep Gloucester and their smartarse chairman out of the NL at all costs, that’d be great thanks.
They’re unbearable aren’t they, just the whole club in general

I don't think so because those clubs are going to carry on playing via fielding a team of youth players and youth team loans. Unless you get a grant approved your statement reads as if that's you done for the season.

Rather ironic that one of the first to put their players on furlough due to lack of money are the same Club who received a disproportional amount of the grants.

And didn't he drastically cut back on the wage bill at the start of the season too, before he got any of the money?

He also threatened to close the club down in August if all 14 contracted Dover players didn't take a 20% short term pay cut, they refused, so he made them all available on a free transfer.

Yes, they surely have the lowest budget in the division. A squad of mid table NL South players cobbled together at the last minute.

That's because the other members of the NL board are just incompetent morons rather than an incompetent loud mouth hypocrite.

How many points will teams lose if KL and Dover sack it off? We’ve not played either yet but assume there is teams who’ve taken 6/9 points off these who could be dropping down table if results are expunged. It’s a fucking mess, why they taking so long to sort it all out

He threatens to close the club down every summer, it's all he ever does. I remember how terrified he was when they were in the playoffs that one season.

We've seen many clubs like them, they come up funded beyond their means on the back of 500 crowds and have a little go at promotion. Always ends in tears, every time. Reminds me of Gateshead.

We managed to lose to Dover and haven’t played King’s Lynn yet at all, due to play them on Tuesday.

Can’t see how the season is gonna finish at this rate. Especially if more and more clubs refuse to play.

and if the North and South gets cancelled, and therefore meaning no relegation, half the teams will just be playing glorified friendlies anyway.
